Will be available on flights to Orlando & Tampa ex Gatwick from the 14th June 2004 onwards.

Price is £888 plus tax per adult at present from the BA site, but might be worth checking with Travel Companies to see what their upgrade prices are likely to be.b

Now this is really good news - especially if the flights can be purchased cheaper than BA's price. World Traveller Plus is a great way to travel out - but oh the luxury of the flat beds on the return journey in Club (air miles permitting :D )

Remember that you can now use Executive Club miles to upgrade tickets now.

25,000 miles to upgrade from WT+ to NCW, even at £888 seems like a pretty good deal to me. Shame they don't do one way upgrades though as you are right a flat bed would be kind of wasted for the trip out there.

I thought you could upgrade any leg of your journey. We holidayed in California at Easter, flying out in Economy to San Francisco and back from LA in NCW. We didn't have any problems booking different classes for different legs.

This should probably have read "different legs of the journey". I didn't have my left leg in Economy and my right leg in Club. Promise...

I meant under the new Exec club rules, they don't do one-way upgrades for miles, unless you have a one-way ticket that is. It is good to know that they will sell mixed class fares though, I'll have to look into it next time I plan a trip.

I've not yet looked closely at the new rules, so you are probably right. I used an Amex companion voucher to booked the mixed class flights to California, and that seemed to be OK although it was before the new rules came into force.

We have mixed class flights (with Amex 'free' companion ticket and BA miles) arranged for September. Out WTP to Phoenix and back in Club from Orlando. Will this flight not have the flat beds then? Anyone know. Thanks.

No it won't have flat beds (New Club World). The Orlando-Gatwick route has not yet been upgraded to the new seats. This will happen next June.

Regards

Rob

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Pootle, but you will get cradle seats not flat-beds for your September trip (same for us in December).
