ok, maybe this is just me always worrying about everything that could go wrong will...but i was just wondering what if one of my kids 13,17,19 or me or my DH forgot our hotel id for emh. would we be able to say there in r party or would they not believe us and not let us stay? im gonna remind the kids and actually probaly hold them for them, but just on the off chance someone forgot them, or god what if they lost it? i was just wondering if anyone has experienced something like that...like i said its probaly just me worrying 2 much..thanks

You're worrying too much. :rotfl:

Seriously, you would need proof of some kind to get in. Keep your receipt in your wallet just in case. Then you could go to Guest Services should this happen and let them advise you, or re-issue the pass.

thanks a lot, i know i worry way 2 much....i was just wondering my 17 yr old is really forgetful, and also has a lot of pride, and probaly won't like me keeping track of his stuff....anyways i was just wondering if he forgot would we all have to go through the hassel of show reciepts and finding castmembers, or would the nice people at disney :) trust us :rotfl: ....i was just wondering if anyone had an expericed that situation already...thanks a lot....and as already posted...i no i wory way 2 much!!! :)

Actually this happened to us at AK but it was mom who forgot her resort ID! I had gone back to the room for something and set my room key down on the table. I asked a CM at AK if my 3 kids had resort keys and I didn't was there a way to get a wrist band. She called the day manager and spoke to him and he said it was fine and to just mention his name when we went to get the wrist bands. I was very relieved that we didn't have to take the bus back to Pop to get the room key and then return to AK.

When we got our wrist bands, DS's both 12 did not have their resort ID, DH and I showed our resort keys and they gave all of us wrist bands without any trouble. Getting into the parks just requires your park pass, they did not check ID there.

I am wondering what happens if you lose a resort key? Can you get it re-issued? And once you do, what happens to the "lost" one... do they de-activate it? We didn't have our tickets tied into them but we did have charging privs. so we went thru to get it replaced... then it resurfaced in the room and we ended up having an extra. I don't recall if it worked for charging privs. or not as this was when they all had just one name on all of the cards.

Unfortunately, we had this happen on the last trip also. We each had our own room key with our name on it. My two boys DS12 and DS10 had charging priveleges. My DS12 had fish and chips in UK at Epcot and apparently threw his resort ID away when he dumped his trash. There is a different number on the card ending in 01, 02, 03, etc. for each person. They ask you to make a note of that. My son's number was 02 and we went to the front desk and they re-issued a new card for him and said the other would be deactivated unless we found it. The new card worked fine and we had no problems with it. It was very easy to replace.
