Writing Spritual Songs

Hi all! My DD has to write a spiritual song for her high school english class. They are studying Frederick Douglass right now. It needs to be like Swing Low Sweet Chariot or Follow the drinking Gourd. It just has to be at least 6 stanzas so it is not to bas. She has to write about something she feels enslaved by. Any ideas for things modern people/teens (either or) feel constrained by??

Thanks for the help! I gave her some ideas like driving restrictions, needing more clothes or money,etc but she said " Mom I don't have any of that!"

How about Peer Pressure. I can't think of anything more powerful, and more applicable to kids nowadays than how others think of them.
