Writers

I'm in the process of writing a story about a girl and she does different service projects and she wants to make an impact on the world. im hoping to enter it in a contest but who knows.

1 story finished this week.
1 poem finished.
2 poems started (not counting the finished one)

I'm on a roll, holy moly.

I can usually finish at least one poem in lees than an hour if I actually want to write and have something to write about, and my poems are all true feelings (if they are ones about emotions or feelings or experiences, or whatever.

Here's a little drabble I wrote about a year ago. I just found it.

Silence.
It’s all around me.
Overwhelmed.
It’s how I feel.
Loneliness.
It’s the emotion I never wanted to feel.
Despair.
It’s the pit into which I sink.
Misery.
It’s the realization that I am not what you wanted.
Hopeless.
It’s the fact that I’ll never be.
Breathless.
It’s how I feel when you smile at me.
Amazement.
It’s what I feel as you gently show me how to do what I never could do before.
Wonder.
It’s what I think as you tell me to meet you later.
Hope.
It’s the feeling I get when we sit on the hill under the stars.
Joy.
It’s the realization that you feel the way I do.
Silence.
It’s what surrounds us as we lean in for that one perfect kiss.

I just wrote this story for Kingdom Keepers:

Amanda looked behind her as she raced from Tomorrowland into Fantasyland. Buildings that looked as though they’d come straight from The Jetsons gave way to a medieval fair. Her wavy dark brown hair flew behind her as she sped through Fantasyland, praying that the pirate that had found her in the Carousel of Progress was still behind her. She had to keep him on her tail as long as possible-the lives of the other Kingdom Keepers and the future of the Parks depended on it. They were safe as long as no Overtakers got near the Castle-that was vital. The plan-using Amanda as a distraction while the other DHIs defended their headquarters in Cinderella Castle-would work. Finn had promised her this. Amanda’s light blue eyes turned gray with steely focus as she fixated on her mental mantra:

Avoid the Castle and protect Finn. Avoid the Castle and protect Finn.

The leggy tanned beauty ducked into the Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square. Amanda heard the Overtaker pursuing her walk past. She slipped out of the attraction and into Frontierland, ducking behind the shops so her DHI’s projection couldn’t be seen. Adventureland was nothing but a blur as Amanda nearly levitated while running. She looked behind her. The pirate was still on her tail. The teen breathed a sigh of relief.

She could see the castle lights reflected in the shop windows lined along Main Street, U.S.A. Amanda could’ve sworn that Finn’s plan would work. Then she heard the explosion. Her heart and stomach dropped. She shut her eyes, steeling herself against the worst. Amanda turned to see Cinderella Castle-the Kingdom Keepers’ symbol of power-demolished and in burning ruins.

Anything I can do to make this story better? Should I post this on FanFiction.net? Got a good idea for the title? Please let me know.
