Writers please help

Hey i write songs and i'm having major writers block, and i don't know what to do. So if anyone has any advise to beat this writers block please say, i don't know what to do about it.

get a piece of paper, and some sort of timer or clock whichever. in one minute write down everything that comes to mind. for example: yellow, flower, growth, green, balloon, air, sky, cloud, rain, storm, lightning, etc.

put it down and walk away.

Time is the onlything that cures an artistic block for me.

I've done everything from just sit in front of a piece of paper until something comes, to just walking away from it altogether until something hits me. Usually, I find a song that reminds me of what I'm writing and listen to it. That usually works. If not, then I just leave it alone for a while.

No just a song i'm writing about stuff you want to happen when you kiss someone you really love or like. I only have the chorus bu i don't know what to write next. the chorus is i want thunder and i want rain. shooting stars shooting in everydirection. fireworks that are so bright making dark come to light.

and thats all i have so far.

Sometimes it helps to rearange the lyrics you already have.


Its been a long time since I've worked with bands, but how about:

I want thunder, but I'll take rain
I want love, but I'm stuck with pain,
I want a shooting star shower
Fireworks on the hour
I want a night thats so bright
It makes noon envy
I'm waiting for my rainbow, after the rain

maybe you could do one of those chart things. put down everything that you think of that has to do with the topic, and rearrange it, adding, of course words like with, and, but, or, off. ya know, things like that. eventually, you could fill a book with ideas, and thats how you can get your song.
