What type of wristbands do they give out on cruises. I'm setting up a private event for my cruise where space is limited and was thinking about handing out wristbands.

The children will get one if they are registered for the Oceaneer Club and Lab

What type of wristband is it? Any specific colors?

My dd said she had red ones on our Fantasy cruises in 2017, 2019, and 2020. She thought she may have had a different color on our Wonder cruises, but wasn't sure.

There are also wrist bands for the Aquaduck. My kids were right at the height limit, they got red bands so they didn't have to "prove" they were tall enough every time.

Regarding the kids club bands. Do they require them to wear them when outside the club? On one of the videos I saw them ziptie through the holes to ensure the kid doesn't take them off, this makes sense while in the club but outside the club?

You can remove the ziptie if you want.

A reason to keep it on is that it costs $ if lost!
If its "permanently attached", it won't get lost.

They are not required outside the clubs and the zipties are optional, but most kids use them so they do not lose the band. You do not get your deposit back for the band if you lose it. Some kids can’t handle the bands. They usually attach them to their belt when they are in the clubs.

They aren't required to wear them, but the CMs typically do put the zip tie lock on the bands so the child won't lose it. You can ask for the zip tie to be left off. There is a charge for a lost band. It used to be $12.95, but that was a few years ago and the cost may have increased.

Thanks for the response. My kids won't have problems wearing them while in club but definitely won't be able to sleep, take baths etc with them on. It'll bother them too much.

Mine take them off at night and on days when they are not going to clubs. One thing to note is that they are identical, so you will want each of them to have a special place for storing them so that they don't get mixed up. :) They can scan them to tell you whose is whose at the kids club, but this could involve running back and forth to the room if you bring the wrong one.

I think OP is asking about disposable wristbands. As others have mentioned, on this ship kids get wristbands if they ride aqua duck. One color indicates that they can ride alone. Another color indicates that they must ride accompanied. The colors can change.
