Wrapping presents?

Does anyone else HATE wrapping presents? I am the world's worst wrapper! I swear they always look so horrible I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong either. Guess it doesn't help that I can't cut a straight line lol

So how do you feel about wrapping presents?

Well, mine don't look horrible (I'm a perfectionist), but I absolutely despise wrapping them! I buy SO much that it literally takes me a full day to do it. I usually start early on Christmas Eve and dread the thought till I'm forced to get it done.

I'm somewhere between love it and hate it...I do a pretty good job of it, and I don't mind, but sometimes, I just don't want to be bothered.

My parents would always forget something when it came time to wrap presents...like tape. I wonder if that was just there way of getting out of it! BTW, this was only on birthdays, not Christmas.

Oh, and the key to wrapping a nice present is cutting the paper to size. If you try wrapping with a sheet that's too big for the gift, it'll turn out horrible 10 out of 10 times.

I picked I love it but that's really not true. I don't actually love wrapping presents but on the other hand, I don't hate doing it either.

I find that if I wrap say, 5 or 6 gifts every few days, it's a lot less nerve racking than trying to wrap them all at once.

I don't hate it but its not my favorite thing to do. I too can't wrap very neat, but do not like using bags so I wrap. You know I have never come across someone who looked at how it is wrapped anyhow, they just tear it open.

Its like you know me..lol I think that is my exact problem, I never get the paper the right size...And as for luck, I'll need it lol

I'm one of those sad people who love wrapping presents and really make an effort. I just really want them to look like they do in fairy tales - and of course by now my family are used to it so I can't stop hehe

I hate wrapping. It doesn't help that my mother is a perfectionist when it comes to wrapping and she doesn't hesitate to tell me how bad mine look. Finally about 6 years ago I told her if she disliked my wrapping so much she was welcome to come over and do it for me and she did for about 3 years. She'd bring all her wrapping paper, curling ribbon (and she has a lot) and she'd spend the day wrapping my presents for me.

She hasn't wrapped them in 3 years and she hasn't commented on my wrapping job, so maybe she decided that a poor wrapping job was better than having to do it all!

Well I dont love it but I dont hate it. No one does it for me and I dont care for gift bags to much cause the kids try to peek in.
I have been doing it all along so it hasnt been to bad.

I LOVE wrapping presents, Christmas presents, Birthday presents, any kind of present I just love to do it. And I am a perfectionist, sides have to be even, ribbon and tag have to match paper.

I love wrapping gifts! I make big pom-pom bows for some, big wired ribbon bows for some, have fun shopping for papers.

Sometimes, I even (this might be over-the-line geeky) volunteer to wrap for other people. I have been known to take paper and ribbons to work and offer to wrap for some of the men who have no clue how to make their wives' Christmas gifts look nice...

(Thin, cheap wrapping paper and stick on bows that come 25 to a bag should be banned! )

I hate wrapping presents. I'm really bad at it. I want them to look nice, and I start out trying really hard, then I get frustrated when the paper ends up uneven and lumpy. Ugh!

Oh, and I can't cut straight either.

I said "hate" but that's mainly because I suck at it. If I could produce an attractively wrapped package, I'd feel better about it.

Not hate more like LOATH. But having said that I actually still make an effort to do a good job. I wrap them as I buy them. Then I don't have to dread doing so many at once. Plus my kids are too snoopy.

I used to be a good wrapper, but something happened and now I'm horrible. I can't cut straight, I cut the paper too big, end up chopping off the excess paper on the ends unevenly, and most times after I've done that I've cut off too much and have to take some of the excess I cut off to cover the exposed box. I'm the world's worst gift wrapper!!!

I've tricked people in to wrapping their own. I don't wrap. I just don't do it. I'll bag, and I'll box, but I won't wrap.
