Where can you purchase wrapping paper for a reasonable price? I used to get it at BJ's but now they only have the rolls (I used to get the flat paper) and it's so expensive! even at half price it's still about $3 a roll and there's hardly any paper on the roll. I'm needing some birthday party papers. does party city carry wrapping paper? or Target? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :goodvibes

Dollar Tree has tons of wrapping paper, on a roll, or sheets, ribbons, bows, gift bags and boxes.

I second Dollar Tree, they usually have a large selection. Dollar General stores also have decent wrapping paper, gift bags and bows.

Yes & yes. Also check hallmark stores for clearance. I have found some really good deals there. And if you sign for their rewards program the price goes toward that.

I always shop the after Christmas sales for paper that doesn't look specifically Christmasy. Shiny solids are great, but you can sometimes find Disney characters without wreathes or santa hats that would give them away.

Another thumbs up for Dollar Tree - they have a HUGE selection of gift wrapping items/gift bags.

Definitely Dollar Tree.

Hobby Lobby also has a bunch and you can use the coupons which is nice.

Another vote for the Dollar Tree. Target is really expensive for wrapping paper.

I will say for Christmas paper, Walgreen's almost ALWAYS has a buy 1 get 2 free sale on Black Friday...so I stock up then for that.

I always check the dollar stores before buying gift wrap anywhere else. I'm usually quite successful in my quest.
I buy Christmas wrap after Christmas for 75-90% off. A few years ago (about 5 I guess) we bought a ton of gift wrap at Target after the holidays for 90% off...I'm still using that!

Dollar Tree gets my vote as well, however, when I find it 75% off at Target, as long as it's a decent amount and under $1, then I'll get it there as well.

Thank you!!! I will check the dollar stores!!! :goodvibes I always stock up on Christmas papers after Christmas, but don't have papers to use through the years for birthdays. DD's birthday is next month and I have a few larger items to wrap.

Thanks again for your help! :goodvibes

Check Target's dollar spot too. I've found cute paper there as well, and gift bags and tissue as well. :)

Same here. This year the selection was a little low, but I found Littlest Pet Shop paper that I have been using for birthday paper. It's not Christmas-y at all; the LPS characters just have winter hats on.

For family members, particularly large items, I use comics. I save them all year. The kids could care less. They'd rather have more gifts than have fancy paper.

Dollar Tree is the only place I buy wrapping paper. I've gotten some really cute paper there. I figure, for something that is going to be thrown away, I don't need to spend a lot.

Another vote for the dollar store. We have a couple different ones here and both are great for paper and for cards!

Here's another vote for the Dollar Tree.

For kids gifts, I usually use the comics from the Sunday paper. Kids always love it.

I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday. They didn't have a very large selection and there is only 20 sq ft on a roll, which doesn't seem like a whole lot, but I did get a couple rolls. Then I was at Target today and they have rolls in their dollar bin! It's meant to be Valentine's stuff, but there are some styles that don't look Valentine-y at all! Plus it's 40 sq ft on a roll! yay! :goodvibes

Thanks again for all your help! :goodvibes
