WPASADI Second Individual Challenge Announced!

Welcome to the second round of individual challenges WPASADIans! You all did a great job with your restaurants!

I bet you are really curious about this week with the odd objects you had to choose from. Has anyone figured out what the objects represented?

Absolutely nothing! :rolling - other than the topics we assigned to them. I just wanted to make you say "I want a Unibrow"

Your challenge this week is - You will be coming up with the concept for a a brand new TV Show! Each of you have randomly selected a certain genre of tv without knowing it.

Your job is to create a concept for a TOTALLY ORIGINAL tv show based on that genre.

By totally original, I mean there should be no other show, past or present, that resembles your concept. In other words, if you have crime as your topic, you can not do a show about forensic investigators (CSI). We should not be able to look at your presentation and automatically think of a show that it is based on. Research research research! Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean the judges haven't seen it!

You are to include the following things in your presentation:

*Name of the show
*When it will air - time and day of week
*What network it would be on - regular tv? cable?
*City/Country show is set in - set the location for us
*Era show is set in (unless you have a topic this does not apply to like game show)
*Plot summary of what the show would be about. Not so long that the judges need a week to read it, but long enough to give us a taste of what the show is like. Pretend you are submitting this idea to producers.
*You need to cast your show, but the kicker is - you must cast one DISer in a lead part in your show. This person should only be used by one person so make double sure that they have not already been asked!!! The rest of the cast can be done with celebrities. Make sure you are casting people that fit the image! Judges will look for that!
*Describe the main set for your show - remember, the power of description is everything right now!

You may use 3 images for this challenge - it's not many so use them wisely

PM your entry to WPASADI Host by 7pm (eastern), Weds, Sept 14th.

The people producing the TV shows with the two lowest scores will be going home You guys saw the competition last week. It's fierce! Remember - details. It's ALL about the details! Check, double check and triple check yourself!

No websites! This is to be done in PM like the last challenge. As far as we know, all indie challenges will be done this way to even the playing field for those not familiar with web building

A) I knew that sometime eventually I would be right with "this has absolutely nothing to do with..." comment.

B) Once I started reading this, I knew I'd get Soap Opera -- I know next to NOTHING about soap operas! Argh!!

Time to hit the books. Or websites as the case may be.

Wow! This sounds good! I missed the choice between unibrows and toe nail fungus as I was wrapped up in my own dillema at the time. Just reading this now and I must say it sounds like fun. I can't wait to read them! By the way, you know we like details but don't make them too ridiculously long, remember we'll have 7 to review and I don't want to spend 3 days reading them all.
