DH had booked our 25th wedding anniversary for September 20th at Teppanyaki. Well, a CM called me today and told me that it would still be under rennovation. I started crying and couldn't stop to the point I almost couldn't breathe. We had been looking forward to this dinner for years.

He told me to hold on for a few minutes. When the CM came back on the line he told me that seeing it was our 25th anniversary, Disney would pay for us to have dinner at V&A. Oh my gosh, DH is going to die!

I think that's what Disney calls pixie dust. When its your turn spread a bit too. Congratulations, dress up and live it up!

what a blessing in disguise!!!!! most of us could NEVER afford V&A!!! here's wishing you a VERY romantic evening!!! :cloud9:

Oh my! That's fantastic. Enjoy!

What a wonderful anniversary that will be.........Congratulations and I hope you take some time after to tell us all about it. Have fun

Wow, the most tears ever did for me was get a mid-term postponed in 10th grade :rolleyes1 . I think Disney would be setting themselves up big time to start comping people $300 meals because a restaurant is closed but maybe that's just my corporate background mentality :confused3 .

Congratulations on your 25th wedding anniversary!! What a wonderful surprise & dream!! Enjoy (and take pictures of your experience to share with us)!! ;)

OP, do you have a Japanese steakhouse anywhere in your area? Because I can't really imagine anything less romantic than sitting around the grill with 6 strangers in Epcot. Not saying it's a bad restaurant, we love it and go often when it's open, but it seems like such an unusual choice for a many-years in the planning anniversary dinner.

Crying to the point you can't breathe? Are you truly serious? My word!! With everything going on in the world isn't this a little trivial to get hysterical about?!

Sorry, I don't buy that you got dinner for free at V&A.

Congratulations anyway, have a great time AT V&A

Uh-oh...here come the waterworks!! ;)

Gee -- and all we got was the VIP viewing area for Illuminations . . . which I'm convinced will be so packed that there'll be better viewing outside the velvet ropes!

If this is true, the OP got some major pixie dust. It has been my experience that Disney tries very hard (much harder than the cruise lines, for example) to make sure their guests have a wonderful time.

V&A is an outstanding experience and wonderfully romantic. Enjoy!!!

Hmmm...I'm going to be down there for my 25th anniversary. Thanks for the tip. ;)

Then the alarm clock went off & you woke up right?:rolleyes1 ;)
