?
DH had booked our 25th wedding anniversary for September 20th at Teppanyaki. Well, a CM called me today and told me that it would still be under rennovation. I started crying and couldn't stop to the point I almost couldn't breathe. We had been looking forward to this dinner for years.
He told me to hold on for a few minutes.
When the CM came back on the line he told me that seeing it was our 25th anniversary, Disney would pay for us to have dinner at V&A.
Oh my gosh, DH is going to die!
Hmmm...I'm going to be down there for my 25th anniversary. Thanks for the tip.![]()
I have never seen such a negative attitude. Maybe this is the worst thing going on in the OP life right now. If so she is very lucky and good for her if Disney is doing the right thing for her.
She is new to these boards and was excited to share some good news. Maybe all of you with neg feedback are just jealous.
Congratulations to the original poster for the great news![]()
Dont be so harsh to judje the op. We got bumped outta Allstars to POP.one time. Another time we got free parking passes when sometin went astray. I beleive in the magic

I'm not buying it.
Anyone who would cry to the point of hyperventilation over a canceled dinner reservation (I don't care if it's your 75th anniversary), should be ashamed of themselves.
My .02 cents.
Consider it done...![]()
I'm thinking I won't even warn the wife and girls of my plan before we get there. The panicked look on their faces as I melt down into a pool of slobbering goo will definitely add to the effect! Who knows, I might even get the Cinderella Suite?!?!
Oh Lord, don't let some of those budget board people read this thread... they will be tying up the phone lines at WDW dining after watching "Beaches" and eating some raw onion to get ready to call.
Yes, they do! But they have to be real and dripping! I mean when it was happening, I was embarrassed! But, I was too mad to really care, and after all, I never saw any of those people again! I never expected any sort of upgrade. I just wanted Mr. Rude CM to get a good talkin' to, and to sort out our ADR's. Everything else was just Pixie Dust!
I have always found just being nice will get you everywhere!
Wow, the most tears ever did for me was get a mid-term postponed in 10th grade. I think Disney would be setting themselves up big time to start comping people $300 meals because a restaurant is closed but maybe that's just my corporate background mentality
.
I registered just so I could respond to this thread.
Maybe I am being silly, but shouldn't we give the OP the benefit of the doubt? You can say she bahaved badly, in your opinion, but perhaps it was just the straw that broke the camels back for her. I have a medical condition that makes me EXTREMELY sensitive, so much so that I can't watch many tv shows anymore because I cry so easily. Go ahead and mock me, as I am sure some will, but I can no more help my reaction to a sad 'Cold Case' than the OP could help her reastion to the news that something important to her was not going to happen.
I am a cynic by nature, I never want to believe in the good things, but isn't that what Disney is all about? Good things for ordinary people? I hope so, because I have had about five years of bad luck and I am hoping that a little pixie dust will come my way on our upcoming trip. I don't expect anything from anyone, just the magic of being there will be enough for me.
She cried, people. She's human. She didn't demand anything, the CM offered and this is The Year Of A Million Dreams.
Please lighten up. I hope some of you aren't this mean spirited and negative in real life.
To the OP, have a wonderful anniversary! We will be celebrating ours when we are there as well! I can't wait!
