I had to work last night at Target. There was already a line of people for the PS3. I knew there was going to be a line but they got there at 12 in the afternoon. It is now pouring rain outside and they can not set up there tents during business hours. The line is longer than how many we are getting. I feel bad for those other people just wasted all there time for nothing.

Also the people are rude. There is no need to be rude. it is your choice to stand out there for hours not everyone else. The cops had to come. :confused3

I am waiting for Sunday for the Wii.

Our local news reported last night that there were already people waiting outside of Best Buy. It's pouring today. I hope it's worth it. ;)

That is just crazy to me. I know they are the must haves but if it were for my kids i would just make them be must haves after christmas!

crud....I forgot about PS3. I am heading to Toys R Us, Target and the mall (which has a Best Buy in it) to try and get soem Xmas shopping done. How long before the crowds go away? I plan on getting there around 11:30

wait...it comes tomorrow and people were lining up yesterday for it??? That's nuts. I assume people are lining up outside so once we are in the stores, it shouldn't be any more crowded than usual??? Wish me luck. I hate shopping in crowds, hence the reason I am trying to go on a weekday rather than a weekend.

I hate that the video game makers limit how many systems they release. I don't know why they do it.

DH called and said that ebay has ps3's for over $5000! That's just crazy. He really wants one, but we have to wait until they are more readily available. He wanted one for his birthday on Monday, but that's not going to happen (because I am not paying $1000's on ebay).

I think it's crazy! We already checked how many PS3's several stores around here were getting. Our Best Buy was only getting a very small amount, under 10 if I remember correctly. Walmart was supposed to get more than them. Either way, even if the numbers are wrong, it's not very many and certainly not enough for the crowd that's waiting for them.

You won't find any of us waiting in line!

We'll get the system when it's readily available and not a moment sooner. My sons already know it won't be under the tree this year.

The people standing in lines are never going to use that PS3, they see too many dollar signs in their future.

Maybe it is me but for some reason I dont see them going for the high money that the ps2 did. The accounce yesterday that they can not play all the older games. and they already reduce the price for the $500 to $350 in Japan because of it.

I might get a Wii that comes out on sunday. There will be enough of them to go around.

I managed a software/video store when the Playstation came out. If you didn't put a deposit down (even 5 bucks) there wasn't one to be had the day of release. We had people waiting outside the store from the time time the mall doors opened until opening time. We had a sign posted on our gate that if you hadn't put a deposit, there weren't any extras-still they waited.

So to hear of the lines does NOT surprise me. I'm lucky the boys are still young and will play with their Game Cube. In a couple of years, I'll have to explain that they'll wait for any new system for a month or two after it comes out.

Just got back from Target - there were people waiting there with their tents. And it was raining all night/morning!

Why not just wait until there are tons available and buy it then????

They'll be a lot cheaper then too!

We stayed out once when one of the new Nintendo systems was released, can't even remember which one, somethin-or-other Box. We got to Toys R Us at about 2 am, and we were the first in line. But...let me say that it was a weekend, and a beautiful clear night with meteor showers (so we got to watch a show while we waited!). My dad was with DS (12 at the time) and I. It was actually not a bad experience.

The worst thing was when the same system was $159 a few weeks later (I think I paid $299, something like that once you added all the cables, etc).
