or so it seemed! Imagine getting to the MK at 11 am on a weekday(this past Wed, 10/1) and walking onto Space Mt, HM, Splash Mt, POC, AND the new Mickey's Philharmagic:teeth: ! That is just what we did! BTW, they think the new MP will be open from here on out. We loved it! The only 10 minute wait was for Peter Pan, and that was becasue Pooh was having troubles and closed for a bit. We walked onto TOT, RNR(3 times in a row) and GMR at MGM that same afternoon. Most things had a 5 minute wait sign, but I think they were counting the time to walk up to the ride, as we had no real wait at all! Walked onto Test Track and the new Mission Space at Epcot, both said 5 minutes, but we were went straight to the briefing room each time. We did MS twice and loved it! Saw NO one looking sick or complaining. Just let the force push your head back, keep it there and put your eyes on the screen. It is unreal! We rode it back to back and no ill effects at all! And I am prone to motion sickness. I can imagine if you closed your eyes or looked to the side that you would be sick though.::yes:: I took a bonine the night before to ease my mind, but I don't think I needed it. We have many pictures in WS at the countries that have NO other people in them at all. We usually go late May, mid March, mid Dec which are regular crowds in comparison. Have never been when it was so uncrowded, spoiled forever I suppose. Will be in for a rude awakening when we go next month for Thanksgiving :earseek: !

We were there from last Friday through Tuesday. Fri-Mon was packed...I mean like "oh it's Sept why is it like Christmas crowds" sorta crowded. But then on Tuesday, it was empty....we walked onto anything we wanted to. In the TTC parking lot, there were literally 4 rows of cars and that's IT. Same for Epcot parking lot. I was so depressed to have to leave!!!!!

I got an picture of us on the tram at MGM. We were the ONLY people on it! They continued on with the regular speil as if the thing was full :p !
You must have caught the crowds at the end of the FL
resident specials. We got our FL room rate(CBR-$79-loved it there!) as we arrived right before it ended and it was a quick trip.
Oh, we only saw one fastpass machine working the entire time and that was TOT since one side was under repair I think. It still only posted a 10 minute wait sign at 3pm. I don't think the wait was that long though:cool: .
Buzz was also a walk on. It was like the first 15 mins of a EE or EMH that we used to enjoy. Except we had no need to hurry as the lines were not growing.
Yesterday many of the CM's had Pal Mickeys and were playing with them. Perhaps they were slow and bored and were told to promote them. ::MickeyMo
We HATED to leave too! I know it will be ages before we experience it that slow again as we have 2 school aged kids.

Thanks for the good news. Hoping for the same for our trip next week. ::yes::

Good luck Ohanamom. As much as I like WDW to have a good business, we sure did enjoy the lack of tourists this time ;) .

anewvance,

I was there last Thur-Mon. I must have been at the right parks at the right time because they were empty!!! There was nobody watching the 2nd show of spectormagic Saturday. The longest we waited for a ride was 10 minutes! We walked on RNR and TOT 2x in a row. We stayed at CSR and on more than one occasion we had a private bus. It was awesome!!! Philharmagic and Mission Space were the best!

Philharmagic and MS made the trip perfect for us!:D So nice to have something new to enjoy. :D I wish everyone could experience WDW with no crowds and perfect weather at least once! :goodvibes

Historically October 1st is the slowest day of the slowest month for Disney Parks. That is why they used to open parks and attractions on this day.

I remember back in the days of early college when i could take a few days (or a week) off of school and go take a trip somewhere. We went to Disneyworld and NO ONE was there. and everything was MUCH cheaper. very fun, very efficient. BUT i must say that sometimes, when the parks are empty...it's a little depressing. i dunno. the crowd does have it's special appeal....sorta.

Thanks for your crowd updates! That is good to keep in mind for next year's trip planning! Your lack of crowds seems even fewer than our first week in Feb. trip and we thought that was empty! We also got to walk on many rides including RNR and TOT, Splash etc. but it still felt populated enough to feel festive! :)

I wonder how the crowds will be at the end of the month.

Our MK/MGM day WAS Oct. 1:p ! That is interesting about that being the slowest day. I remember it being like that in Feb. when I was a child. It was not depressing at all, others were there, just not all at the same ride at the same time. Even saw some lines for characters in MK and MGM-but not on the rides.
Longest wait we endured was the 5 minute wait to order breakfast at the foodcourt at CBR :rotfl:
I would think things may pick up around Halloween, and also the weekends.

We were also at MK and Epcot on Oct 1.

We arrived at 8:30 and it was raining lightly. We had planned on MK, so we just went. By 9:15 the rain had stopped. I think the early rain may have deterred some people from coming.

We loved the no wait day!! Literally all the rides were walk-on.

During the kids (and in-laws) nap time, DH and I returned to Epcot to ride Mission:SPACE and Test Track. We stayed off-site, and it only took us 1.5 hours to leave, park, ride both rides, and get home and everyone was still asleep! I also noticed that all the FP machines were closed, since there were no lines. So cool!

I honestly think we were able to experience more in 4 hours on this day, than most people experience during an entire day with regular crowds.

Can't wait to go back again in the fall!!
