I got my ressies but times I wanted weren't available. We have 50s PT for lunch at 12:15 and H&V FDP at 4:30. YIKES!!!! I sure hope I can move one or both of them apart a bit, or they may have to roll us out of the door. :rotfl:

Does anyone know how soon they will open up more times?

You should be able to change the H&V PS to a later time. Later PS's for the MGM restaurants are available between 30 days and about 3 weeks before the date of the PS. I start calling for the later PS times at 30 days and call every few days until the later times are available. I've done this for the last 3 trips and it has always worked out that I got the later time I wanted. I know it's a bit of a pain, but this is how they've got it set up for some reason.

Happy planning! :)

The good part is that PT Cafe is not a buffet and you could just do appetizers and drinks to hold you till earlier dinner.

Have fun. DD and I love both places!

I'm planning on my PS at MGM looking about the same as yours because of early closing time. We're planning to have a light lunch and split a meal since dinner will be a buffet and only a few hours away. Just have to convince H it's ok to leave a restaurant still hungry :rotfl2:

::MickeyMo That's what happened to me. I made a PS at Sci-Fi for lunch at 1 and then the FDP was the latest of 4:30. So then I switched the lunch to 11:15. I figured we'd just skip breakfast that day and just have a snack later on in the night. ::MinnieMo

In June I have made my PS at lunchtime because dinner is always more. I made my PS at MGM for 12:10 pm at 50’s Prime Time (1st time). Since we never spend a whole day at MGM we are going to take the boat to Epcot and eat around the world for the evening at counter service and catch illuminations.

I have eaten at the Scfi and the kids loved it I hope the 50's Prime Time will be just as fun!!! :flower:

As someone said on another thread, they make a lot of extra work for themselves by not releasing the later times as soon as they publish the park hours. At MK, I have CRT at 1:45 and LTT at 5:25 on the same day. The CM came close to scolding me over that one...implied that I should cancel one. And of course, I will, if I can't get LTT for later, but I'm not going to let one of them go until about 20 days out.

I am assuming H&V is a fantasmic package and that is why it is so early? I hate that they do that (fantasmic packages seem to always be before 5!)
I don't know why????? Hightown made a really good point:

::MickeyMo YES! That is what a CM told me! I asked why it was so early and he said because it was a FDP. He said it's like a you scratch our back we scratch yours. Because it a FDP, they do us a favor by guaranteeing us seating at the show and we do them a favor by filling in odd times at the restaurant. Makes sense I guess however inconvenient it may be. ::MinnieMo

I never knew that they wait to open up later seatings. I learn something new everyday here :flower:

I love Hollywood and Vine! The food is great, and it's a buffet! Great choice, I enjoy going there every time I visit Disney World. I usually don't eat much all day, just to save up for the giant end of the day meal.

We have a 4:00pm FDP at Brown Derby for May 22. Called exactly 90 days out and that is all they had. Once I found out they will open later times have been calling about once a week. Finally the last CM I spoke with all but said "Hey lady stop calling! Wait til April for crying out loud." I guess what I read on another thread about waiting til 30 days out is true!! (I hope so because the idea of eating all that rich food so early in the day is already giving me heartburn!) Ideally I would like ressie around 6:30 or so - after parade and before check in time for show.

Try going eariler to the lunch PS. We once had ps at 12:30, everyone was hungry at 11:00 when crystal palace opened and when I walked up and told them they got us right in at 11. We had a group of 10 and I think they were glad to have the later time slot open for so many.
