I couldn't do it any earlier-this is a last mimute trip that I just reserved this morning (Southwest specials called my name). The biggest surpise was that although I tried for 3 different nights, I couldn't get into Yacht Club Galley. I figured park resturaunts might be full, but resorts? Also, Spoodles didn't have any availablity on 3 different nights, and Kona was pretty full on 2 nights. The ones I could get were Citricos for lunch (that was a surprise), 1900 Park Faire (at GFC) for a late breakfast, Cape May Cafe for breakfast, Jikos and Yachtsman's Steakhouse for dinner. There seems to be availability left for signature and character dining. But, as I said, Yacht Club Galley was my biggest shock. DS ate there in April and called it a hidden gem-I guess it's not so hidden anymore!

I'm guessing with Free dining at that time and everyone staying in the resorts being on it more people are willing to eat at the resorts and then head to the park and just free dining in general more people are making ADR's in advance due to more people on the dining plan.

Oh man, I wish you could have booked just a little sooner to get the Free Dining! I'm glad you were at least able to book a few that you wanted. It seems like just about everything is booked solid during Free Dining. I made my ADRs the day the Free Dining package came out and had no problems getting everything I wanted. HOWEVER, I have tried to make a few changes since then, due to some travel date changes we had to make, and I've had very little luck with it. It seems like the only times I can find are super late, which won't work for us.

If you keep calling back every so often, maybe you will be able to get your first choices. I kept calling and did get at least one of my changes. Good luck, and enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

I booked the rest of mine last nite (see post here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1515272) and got most of what I wanted except Coral Reef and 50's PTC. Of course, we eat late, mostly 8 p.m. and that was easier to get. I guess I was lucky to get Kona twice! :wizard:

Keep trying-people do cancel. Even once you are there, don't give up. Last year I cancelled 1/2 of our ADRS while there and made new ones. Mostly in-park ones one days we didn't do parks.
