WOW! Tour Guide Mike!

I used TGM too and loved his advice. His plans really do save time.

Used them for Thanksgiving!!! They were right on!!!! :thumbsup2

Besides giving advice on parks does he also give in advice on restaurants? We are going in August so I may have to subscribe! :cool1:
Thanks.

He gives advice on EVERYTHING you could possibly think of - tickets, restaurants, parks, transportation, hotels....it's just fantastic. It's all I have thought about since I subscribed. It is worth twice what I paid for it (probably shouldn't give him any ideas, huh??? :rotfl2:).

Wow

This is starting to sound like a commercial. I keep waiting for a 'flame thrower' to jump in!

I do believe though, this is one of those cases where the 'too good to be true adage' is wrong. (Hence my previous diet pill comment).

I am always surprised at how many people think you cant do Disney without long lines - but the fact is, you can. Even on Christmas Day or Easter Sunday or the 4th of July. If you read the trip reports on tourguidemikes forums, you see people coming back from their trips at these times raving.

edited to correct spelling

Another person who loves TGM! We are using him for the second time in June.

We used ridemax for our DL trip last August and I may try tourguidemike for WDW this coming July. We'll only be there 3 days after our cruise so we need to optimize the time there. Is $3.00 the best discount out there? I saw a $4.00 one but I think it must have expired because the link didn't come up with a code.

How long does a subscription last? just for one trip? we leave in 2 weeks...is it worth the $$$

Well, if you don't think it was worth the money, when you come back from your trip just ask for a refund. Apparently its a no questions asked, whenever you want you can request a refund.

Please be prepared to be hooked though, and become a raving tourguidemike fan. It can be embarrassing sometime.

Please pass the koolaide, I need another round! :drinking1

Mom2ee - if you subscribe, you'll want to postpone your trip so you can do more planning!!!

Koolaid passed to the right....

Taking the koolaid and taking the plunge to TGM...this will be our 13th trip, so doubt it will be our last, but it will be the first offsite...so will appreciate the extra help :drinking1

We leave Sunday and I just got in 2 weeks ago. I have spent a considerable amount of time reading, but have gotten thru everything. I justified the price the first night I was on it!

Another TourGuideMike fan! I just discovered his site a couple of weeks ago. It is awesome. DH has taken to wearing a TGM name badge so I pay him some attention :rotfl2: We are going in August with another family and reading his touring plans are helping a ton!

posted on a different thread, but NEED andwers...okay, i signed up, but how do i navigate? :confused3

mom2ee - go to "my AVP" and he will give you directions to start you off. It's very confusing and overwhelming at first. I myself am still not all the way through it. It's going to take you some time but it's so worth it.

LOL. I was convinced and signed up too. I haven't started weeding through everything yet.

DDH will just say it's anohter way for me to feed my addiction. LOL

On your home page, you should see a big blue file thing, with each month of the year. That is the express planner (see, there are actually 12 disneyworlds, one for each month-- because each month has its own set of concerns, like crowd levels, special events, stuff like that and tgm breaks it out by the month). Click on your month of travel to get your 'express planner'. Read the WHOLE Planner through BEFORE clicking on any of the links -- it will give you an idea where everything is.

Also, go into the forums on his site and post questions, cause there is some stuff we are not suppose to talk about on public forums.

Are his plans helpful at all if you plan to go to a park that has EMH that day? I read the other day that EMH days are always more crowded.

Yes they are very helpful. But to be clear, Mike gives you all the information you need to make your own plans. He has sample plans but not for every possible situation, although I just use the sample plans myself, with a few adjustments.

We have used his advice for two trips and he has never been wrong! We do EMH for some parks and not others. Anyway he has the EMH pros and cons for each park and advice on who most benifits from using it. His plans are extra important if you are doing EMH parks and not hopping.

He gives a lot more than touring advice. If you really dig into the site you find all sorts of tips and tricks. He goes over ever ride and there is user feedback for every ride and place to eat, so you can see what real people think too. There are message boards and they are really helpful, even when you ask a "stupid" question. There is a guy named Stephen who used to post there a lot, look him up. He is super nice and helpful and knows a lot about the parks.

If you have trouble navigating the site make sure you start at 'my AVP' and follow the steps Mike lays out (this is not a good site to just jump around randomly). If that fails just ask on the MVP message boards. Someone will help you.

:cheer2:

I'm going to subscribe right now. You guys are just so helpful. I am so glad I discovered disboards last year! :)
