I went today to get the sun screen, bug spray, new tootbrushes (I'm not taking my interplax system) tylenol and sudafed one bottle each for the adults and 1 bottle each for the kids. Femine supplies (lucky me right in the middle of the trip) bonine just in case toothpaste, razors a small first aid kids with bandaids and neosporin along with travel size deodorant and hair spray and a small tube of my Herbacin cream with aloe in it. Anything else you can think of that I forgot? Man this stuff cost a fortune (not really) but those little extra things add up.::yes::

Oh, I know exactly what you mean -- you make a very good observation!

All those travel sized and miscellaneous items kill my wallet every time! I really dread having to purchase these things. I've been trying to find little ways to save money on them such as not throwing away empty shampoo or conditioner trial size containers -- just wash them out and refill with shampoo and conditioner from home. The same with mouthwash. As for toothpaste, we've just been taking our tube from home because in the past we've run out of trial size and had to purchase some onboard which is quite expensive. Another one is sunscreen. Avon's next catalog has the Skin so Soft sunscreen on sale for $4.99 a bottle -- I'm buying 4 of them to stock up.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news...if you plan on doing any laundry on the trip - you may want to purchase the laundry tablets. They are easier to pack/manage than either powder or liquid detergents.

Walmart has these in their "travel"-sized stuff aisle. I think they were about $2.00 for enough to do 6 loads.

We brought a bottle of Pepto Bismol tablets with us. You eat a lot of things you might not normally eat which might cause an upset tummy.

Isn't there shampoo and bath stuff in the bathrooms on DCL? I thought I remembered something like that.

there was a combination shampoo/conditioner and hand lotion. While I don't need designer shampoo and conditioner I can't use the combo stuff so I always pack my own.

We just did the same thing yesterday............

I would add Immodium (with all the rich food..... you never know), Anbesol and some emergency dental filling. Dentists are really hard to find at sea. :D

Shelby2001........ in case you missed it........ we have a thread going, for the 4/17 cruise, over on the Cruise Meets section. We'd love to have you join. There are at least 35-40 DISers in our group.
