My wife and I decided to sell one of our contracts: 160 points at BWV.

Last Friday, we contacted the Timeshare Store (where we had bought them 10 years ago).

Friday night, we filled out the paperwork. Emailed everything back.

They posted the listing Saturday.

We got an offer, negotiated the price, and closed the deal Sunday.

Wow.

It's now gone to Disney for ROFR. I'm a happy camper. :thumbsup2

Wow, indeed! Are you wondering if your price was too low? ;) :teeth:

Seriously, congratulations!

We were pretty much where most of them are now.

We were asking 83. They came back with 79. We compromised at 81.

If memory serves, we paid 75 back in 2005. So I think we did ok. We'll get reimbursed our dues for next year, as well. And the Timeshare Store is offering a deal right now: 10% commission instead of the usual 12. :cool1: I'm pleased.

I don't recall hearing anyone that's paid 12% even at the firms that listed 12%.

If I were willing to sell one of mine, I'd be happy with that deal, too, LOL. Good for you!

I thought 10% was the standard rate for TSS? I know that's been the rate since May. The "deals" are at other companies, who are only charging 7.5% commission.

Regardless, congratulations!

They've been advertising a holiday special ... 10% instead of 12. Maybe they snookered me :-)

We listed our OKW contract in October and they stated that the commission was 10% (special) rather than the normal 12%. We lowered the price after four weeks and I asked if 10% would still be honored....after a a few seconds of dead air I was told yes.....bottom line I hung up thinking 10% probably isn't a promotion.
Bottom line I love the TS store. We have purchased two resales and sold one contract through them. Professional, competent associates, I could not ask for more.
