I am amazed, I am 174 days out from my trip in late September and I wanted to see what ADRs I could get. My Dreams agent got me Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast on my first choice of days, however curiosity got me poking around the Disney reservations system on my own.
I hear all the can't get reservations talk, and one guide book even refers to setting your clock to the atomic clock and pre planning how long it takes for your call to connect as the only way to get an ADR for certain places. Then I here because of the free dining (that ended in December), that even though the parks will be slow in in September, the Table service will be crowded. So here is what I found... CRT is available every day of my trip... even now 6 days after the reservation window opened. In addition Le Cellier is also available for every day. To be fair Le Cellier has a few days where only early dinner and late dinner are available.
The only 3 full on Sunday the 25th of Sept is The Garden Grill, the Diamond Horseshoe and Tommorrowland Terrace and Tuskar House. On the 26th it is the same list but add T-Rex.
Does this mean it is slow, very slow that week? Does this mean that there is a chance that free dining may again be needed to fill the parks/beds/restaurants? We as the general public do not have any way to see hotel occupancy and see how "sales" are going for the parks on any given day, but maybe this is a indicator.
Edit... I cannot stop my self.... what do I find so interesting about the reservations system... any way, I also checked the 9/13 approx 160 days out and well into the reservation window for everyone. The same availability for dinner, pretty much everywhere. Breakfast on the other hand had 21 available locations (Including the Royal Table) and 53 unavailable.
