Tonight I went out to eat with my parents, at this local restaurant. Fairly busy and casual atmosphere, it usually is accompanied by people drinking and having a good time too. Tonight was somewhat different though. At the table next to us was a bunch of teenagers, maybe the oldest one being 14 or so (many of them still had middle school varsity jackets on). Anyways they just happened to get their food right before us, and one of them said funny because they were all laughing, except one girl.
She get's up and holds her throat right away, and you could tell she was in a panic. Her friends start to pat her back right away, and that's when I got up. I applied the heimlich on her, and after what seemed like an eternity, whatever she was choking on flew out. I've never been so relieved to hear someone cough and cry... my hands are still shaking...
