Hope stuff opens up on the boat. Can't imagine there is no brunch/tea left for a 15 night cruise! :lmao:

:wizard: Good Luck. I hope you can get Palo once you're onboard

I'm so pleased that you were able to make some Palo ressies Andrew :thumbsup2

I hope so too!! I got a dinner, but no brunch or tea. There might also be reservations opening up at the 75 day mark.

While I understand inventory is less for brunch & high tea (it is only done on at-sea days as opposed to dinner which is offered every night), it seems like DCL has held back a lot of inventory for brunch & tea.

I was one of the many folks online at midnight and I've read as well as posted the common issues we seemed to face. However, as soon as the systems came back up, I went after Palo reservations. And while there was a good amount of slots for dinner, brunch & high tea were sold out - this is just after midnight this morning.

I guess DCL wants to have a very long line at the LA cruise terminal to get on-board early and then a very long line to get to see PJ & the Palo crew as soon as we step on the ship. I feel bad for the 3 or 4 Palo folks that are going to have to handle that line, though.

Yes it does seem funny, a lot went I was lucky to get a Brunch but afternoon tea had gone, People will want to get to LA early.

I guess I got really lucky then. I had to keep relogging in because of errors, even after I grabbed a brunch. In the end I got brunch, tea, dinner, and 3 sight seeing excursions we wanted. I of course didn't get the day I wanted for the brunch or tea..but I got something. There were lots of dinners available though, even later on last night.

By the time I got in (around 1:30am) Tea was gone. There was availability for parties of 1-2 for Brunch, but by the time I got through the process it was unavailable. We didn't want dinner or tea and won't be utterly disappointed if we don't get a brunch slot, although we'll keep trying. On a positive note, we got all of the excursions we wanted and I was able to book the Alone Time spa treatment.

For those that wanted Tea but couldn't get it, stop by the Cove Cafe in the afternoon and then grab a cup of tea from the drink station. Find a quiet spot to sit and relax and you'll be all set. The pastries in the Cove Cafe are the same as those served at Palo so, aside from the setting, you'll be able to create your own Afternoon Tea. An added bonus is that it's free!

Sorry you like many others had a lot of problems, might have to get down to 'Rock'n D bar quickly at LA day. Good luck.

Good alternative for Cove Cafe as we have missed out on Anternoon tea.

I will need a snack not enough food.

Thanks. It really wasn't too bad. Once I was able to get in things went very quickly. We probably won't bother with the Rockin' Bar D rush. If I can't get something ahead of time we'll probably just skip it. With the $15pp charge, plus the additional $20 I usually leave, I'm not sure it's worth it...to us anyway.

And yes, I was surprised to find the same "treats" at the Cove Cafe as at Palo Tea. I took a few of them and my cup of tea to the nice, padded chairs outside on deck and made my own good time! :thumbsup2

Yes I will avoid the rush, just for afternoon tea, to leave early from Disneyland isn't worth it, I will do Goofys galley to compensate.

I think over a time the $ charge for Palo will increase and more people will think the same and cut down, one way to cut the internet rush.

Like Cinderellas Royal table at MK, they keep pricing it up-wards and soon people will give up.

I was lucky enough to get brunch (23rd) and dinner (19th). I would keep trying and checking on line. I wouldn't be surprised if something showed up eventually.
If you really want it and nothing shows up, then getting on the waitlist when you board is also an option. I've heard of many folks getting extra Palo times just from the waitlist:confused3

Good luck:flower3:

Agreed! I think the increase in cost is already keeping some from booking and making others (like us) question it. We've done Palo Brunch 5 times already. While good, it really isn't a must-do for us anymore. We are perfectly happy with the other food available so spending $50 on one meal when all others are included just isn't worth it to us...I don't think. ;) I think I would rather spend that $50 on a meal (or part of one) at DL than on board.

Yes, and I bet the price will be $20pp by 2009.

On a seperate note this would take pressure off and ease internet and server pressure.

105 days Cat 1/2/3 –everything.
100 days Reas
95 days Palo CC Members
90 Shore Trips CC Members
80 days Palo -all
75 days Shore trips-all.

Do they have the same tea sandwiches and scones available at the Cove Cafe as well? :)

They did have both tea sandwiches and scones available when I was there. I did not notice, however, if they are the same as the ones in Palo. They also have an ice selection of fruit & cheese in the afternoon and evening.

i booked dinner than went to book my excursions than went back to palo and they didnt have any brunch or tea left.

Yes, that is one thing to keep in mind next time. Always go for tea first, then brunch and then dinner. Tea has the fewest slots as they only seat 12 or so tables each afternoon that it is offered. Brunch would be next as it is only served on sea days. Dinner is served every night so it is much easier to get!

Don't despair though, there should be some availability once on board...or perhaps even before that!
