WOW - I just sold my old gold........

That's the place. It most definitely is not a scam. I went there in person, watched them test and weigh each and every piece of gold I had, and received a payout double the size of what my local jeweler offered.

There are a few hundred people in this thread who will tell you the same. They're the real deal.

Thanks!

I am so glad I found this thread! I sent in a few pieces yesterday and got my quote today...$2050! I am sooo excited as this will be great for our Disney trip next month! :cool1:
Oh I used USGB.

I also used USGB, thanks to this thread, and got a few hundred dollars more for our next Disney trip. Very easy and quick to use.

Any gold experts able to let me know what a 14k gold necklace that weighs 28.5 grams would be worth at todays rates?

:confused3

Current 14k gold "spot" price for that would be $622.54

Just for clarification, 14k gold is approximatey 58.3% gold, so you can multiply pure gold spot price by 0.583 to get the value of 14k.

Here is a very easy-to-use calculator for various precious metal prices:

in-gold-we-trust.info

The system won't let me post a hyperlink, so maybe someone else will do it after me.

Also keep in mind that gold is weighed in Troy onces, not regular ounces. It takes approximately 1.1 regular ounces to = 1 Troy ounce. If you want to estimate your gold, it would be easiest to weigh it in grams and then price it on the in-gold-we-trust.info website. I think USGoldBuyers will pay you 95 - 98% of the spot price, which from what I understand is hard to beat anywhere.

Wow! That is great! What did you send in?? I have used them in the past, and thinking of sending some more stuff in. This would be the last of my pile.

What kind of things do you send? Are then broken or just stuff you don't wear any more?

Finally sent in my old gold last Thurs and here are my results! When I weighed it on my kitchen scale it was about .6 ounces (including stone in class ring and necklace.)

Small ladies class ring (ended up moving a month after I got it, so no sentimental attachment!)
Thin ladies claddah ring
Thin white gold band
Gold necklace that comes down to a "V" with a garnet in the center
3 little gold charms

total was $238.23, enough for an airline ticket in December!

I sent in 3 necklaces, 4 braclelets and a couple pair of small earrings. Not much at all. But 2 of the necklaces were pretty nice. I was totally shocked I got that much.

How long has it taken folks to hear back from US Gold Buyers with their offer, after it has been recieved by them?

I seem to have read a lot of folks saying they heard back within 24 hours or less of USGB receiving the package. They received my package at 9:45am yesterday morning, and now it's after 3:00pm today, and I haven't heard a peep yet.... I was wondering if it sometimes takes longer to hear from them. I guess I'm just anxious - the cash is earmarked for a DisneyLand reservation and I want to hear the dollar amount so I know just how many nights it's going to get me :rotfl:

I think they are open till 6pm. I always heard back the next day, but if I didn't hear by 330pm I would call them. Just check with them! Good luck! Let us know how you make out!

Thanks all - you convinced me to call. Just under $1000 for a bunch of junk that was at the bottom of my jewelry box, never to be worn again! Disneyland here I come - well, in August at least!!! Yeah!

That's great:thumbsup2 I am thinking of sending in the rest of the jewelry I don't wear anymore. That extra money can help me book a trip! I haven't worn it in 2 years....but kinda don't want to give it up! lol.

I just threw out some old (what I thought were worthless) necklaces from h.s. Too bad I didn't think to try this...

Do y'all realize that US gold buyers offers a $25. for referrals? I just read this on their site.

Has anyone used Gold Cycler? They are based in Florida. They advertise on t.v. and on line. I called them recently, and asked how they compare to the competition, and the reply was that they cannot really say, and that they have a complete customer satisfaction guarantee.
