WOW - I just sold my old gold........

So I called them AGAIN. Now they tell me that they called me on Tuesday AND Wednesday and that my number was disconnected. I told them my number has not been disconnected and I am currently using it. The guy on the phone was kind of rude. I don't think I would go through them again. My settlement was $581.23. It covers an extra 3 nights at Pop, so I'll take it.

Well you've all convinced me and now I'm afraid I've missed the boat on the gold prices by about 3 weeks, but I've torn my house apart and gotten everything together and on Monday (or tomorrow if I'm energetic enough to go to FedEx), I'll be shipping out:

19 gold necklaces (mostly 14k)
19 gold bracelets/anklets
39 gold charms and 1 charm holder
20 gold earrings
5 gold rings
3 stick pins
2 gold lockets
2 SS chains
5 SS charms

I sent about and ounce and a half of 14k gold items today. This is how I am doing my Vegas gambling ahead of time (since we are going to Vegas in 2 days). I will just roll the dice and wait and see.

Way to go everyone!! I can't wait to sell mine. Still debating between the two places and now I am thinking of a jewelry store. But it really seems like you get a good payout sending it in. I am in the Kansas City area, does anyone know of a good place to take it in here???

WTG! When you originally posted what you had sent, I KNEW you were gonna have a great payout, considering what you sent! That is awesome! I'm so glad you had a great payout!

For anyone who wants to know how long it takes to get a check from USGB -- they received my pkg last monday, called with a quote on Wednesday evening and I received my check for $891 today -- so 1 week turnaround until I had $$ in my hand. Now, if I could just bring myself to put that "found" money in the bank rather than taking it to disney.............

I got my gold back from Cash4gold. Now I'm ready to send it out to a "reputable" company. Who should I use! This has been an ongoing saga since March 5th when I originally sent to cahs4gold. NEVER use them.

No...and can you believe I didn't even ask?? He did that (in a nice way) that some of the stuff I sent was...errrr...junk, which I had a feeling. 2 of the things I'd sent, which really made up the bulk of the weight of my package, had no stamp on them on them anywhere and were very heavy so I had a feeling that they weren't anything anyway.

I feel a bit like an idiot not asking. Or trying to haggle for more, but hey...it's found money, right?

Glad to hear about the fast turnaround. I was surprised they even called me less than 7 hours after receiving the package and I requested a check so I was wondering how long it'd take to get.

My husband was THRILLED when I told him how much...but that quickly turned around when I told him it would pay for our November trip...then the arms started flailing, the neck started craning....

It was ugly....

BUT he was glad to see I still had my wedding ring on!!

I have more rings and necklaces, but they have stones in them and now I'm thinking if I go to a jeweler and have the stones removed, then I can send that stuff out too!!!

oooo talk about FAST.. I just shipped a package last night at 7:00pm to Goldfellows..expected delivery was the 17th.... I just looked and it is out on the Truck for delivery!!!!
