40 years ago our oldest daughter began watching Sesame Street at 3yo . It was one of the greatest shows ever created in the way of children's educational programing. Jim Henson was the best and many thanks go out to him and his puppets for years of entertaining and helping teach not only my children, but my
grandchildren . God Bless Jim Henson ^i^

My oldest DS was heartbroken and just cried and cried and cried. I didn't know what to do so I took him to the drugstore and let him pick out a sympathy card. It really helped him. I still have the card he picked out and everytime I come across it I remember how sad he was.

Yes, I remember it well. We went to Disney World for the first time in 1990. While there, we watched Jim Henson tape a special at Disney MGM Studios. A week or two after we got back, while at work, I received a telephone call from my DH saying, you will never guess who died. I was in shock. Being from Maryland, Jim Henson, holds a special place in my heart.

It IS hard to believe it has been so long. His genius is still entertaining (and educating) children--which is a great legacy to have. My own kids (ages 13 and 11) absolutely love the Muppet Show seasons we have been able to get on DVD.
