We made an offer on our 100pts at VWL on Sep 6th, offer was submitted to Disney on Sep 8th, passed ROFR on Sep 20th. Today, in the mail, I received a letter from Timeshare Closing Services (dated Oct 3) informing me that the closing has taken place!

The letter states, "We also faxed a copy of the executed deed to the resort. Kindly remember, that Disney only takes approximately ten business days to update their records and acknowledge you as the new owner upon receipt of the executed deed."

So, does this mean we will be in Disney's system within the next 10 business days? Or do I have to wait the 4-6 weeks until the deed has been recorded with the county? I'm thinking it means we will be in the Disney system very shortly, but it will be 4-6 weeks before I receive the original deed. Somebody, please tell me so I can officially begin my happy dance and get my VWL DVC siggy!!!

Start your happy dance. Yes, you should be in the system within 10 business days. Enjoy planning and booking your future trip!

Welcome Home!

Thanks for keeping the important details of your purchase a secret. If you were to give us the purchase price per point, how many banked points there were and so forth, the information might actually help soneone. Can't have that!

Okay, this is harsh, but I can't understand why anyone (and you aren't the only one) would post this type of information without giving the facts that might help others, namely the price.

Start dancing! LOL, my guess is that by the time you actually get a copy of the deed, you will already have several trips planned!
:Pinkbounc CONGRATULATIONS & WELCOME HOME! :Pinkbounc

WOW! Was this REALLY called for?

Personally if someone does not care to tell you that's fine with me. I tell my stuff about DVC here, but I also can see the other side... does the entire internet really NEED to know (And is it the OPs job to tell you how to spend your money)

Sorry, but this post was just plain RUDE!

We just sent an undisclosed amount of money to the Timeshare Closing for our VWL contract, so we are right behind you. See you there sometime :cool1: That's just between you and me though, so don't tell :lmao:

Welcome Home eyeheartgoofy! :cool1:

And I might add, you have GREAT taste in DVC resorts! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! I am so excited! :cool1: Can't wait to call MS and bank the points for our 2008 vacation (already renting from a member for our '07 vacation at VWL!).

I did post my stats on the ROFR thread as soon as TSS let me know, but in case you missed them: 100 pts VWL, June UY, all '06 and '07 points available, buyer pays '06 fees and closing costs, $90.00 per point.

Some people say "Mean people stink!".
Hey if there weren't any mean people to pick on, the bar would have to be raised. Then just the merely kind people would be the butt of jokes and scorn.

Mississippian, keep up the great work! :thumbsup2

Congratulations!!! It never gets dull on this Board! When I was approved last week for Beachclub ( this is my third resort), I shouted when I read the email! Welcome Home!!!! VWL was our first one and it is still my favorite.
