I was just on Dizneypins and read the TDL is stoping pin trading. I know that TDL has very few pins (most come from thr TDS or Mickeys Pals) but still. Here is what was posted.

Gee that's too bad. The Japanese people really seemed to enjoy pin trading. I wonder why they stopped?

From what I have read pin trading has been a problem at TDL for quite a while. Some of the traders have taken over the park and come close to harassing other guests to get the pins they want. I know that they tried " from lanyards only" - no books allowed. Guess this is the only way they think that they can keep things under control.

Gee, and I had always heard we Americans were considered rude compared to the other cultures. Chalk one up for us!!:)

To add to Judy Sue's post.......I have a Japanese trader friend who said that before TDL went to lanyard only trading, some people were spreading blankets in the middle of the streets of the parks to pin trade. Also that some of the traders would ask for money in addition to 4-5 pins for a pin another trader wanted.

And we thought WE had sharks!

I have read where they trade with gusto.;) And I have read pretty much everything above.
Wasn't it not that long ago that they restricted how they could trade, because of the blanket/sheet city situation?
I think the mob scenes sounded like some of American TDS Saturday morning pin challenges! :D ;)
