WOW! Bottle Nosed Dolphins!!!

After finally getting over last hurricane season life was starting to seem a little dull around here when what do I see (just 10 minutes ago)? A pod of about 20 dolphin from anywhere between 50 yards to 250 yards off of our dock!

Pretty cool! I think they're still there but it's dark now.

It's great when you get a little unexpected surprise for nothing...Particularily if it somehow has to do with mother nature, IMO...

Isn't that just the best gift?!

they could be the meanest little buggers , but they always appear so gosh darn happy!
DH saw some @ HHI, just at sunrise, frolicking up close, slapping the water with their tails.
Our family calls them 'sea puppies'

I wish you could get a picture!! We love dolphins too. I was lucky enough to swim with them in the Bahamas once. Jones is right - they do always seem so happy!

isn't it great - we have a few that hang out on Crescent all the time....they make a great view for a relaxing evening!

We went to the beach on Easter, first time in a while, our closest beach is Sanibel Island. We saw so many dolphins. it was so cool!!!
Some were right in front of us. I did snap a few pictures.
So, I know what you mean, it's just a great unexpected sight!!
