Wow - BIG pipe break at BWV

We were stating at the Boardwalk during this time. We were told by the security guard that an 8-inch water main "broke" and 20K gallons of water flooded the area. We returned to our room around 3:30 the day it happened and the staff was already ripping out the carpeting, etc. Looked like a war zone! Missed our rooms by about 10 feet. Huge fans were placed in the hall - kinda loud, but necessary, I'm sure. Couldn't believe the speed with which things were returned to normal. Never got a straight answer as to how it happened.....

Last Saturday I called a friend staying over at the Wilderness Lodge Concierge (not the Villas) He said the manager over the Concierge told him that the water break was displacing many, said the Lodge was notified that they would have to accommodate guest from the Boardwalk the problem was last week-end the Lodge and every other resort on property was booked 100% (I know it was because I couldn't even book a room at a value...MLK weed-end) They were under alot of pressure to find rooms for everyone.

It's been 21 below here with the windchill and very, very few reports of water pipes breaking! I seriously doubt, in fact I'm 100% confident that the pipe did not break due to the cold!
