Wow! Almost missed out on lunch at Cindy's today for Dec. 17th!

My goodness! I got up at 6a.m. our time to do the Cindy's thing this morning. I was so proud of myself because I started calling a few minutes before 7a.m. their time and, after they finally opened the line, I was only on hold for less than one minute before a CM answered! I told them I wanted to book Cindy's for LUNCH on Dec. 17th and she checked and told me there was only one seating for two left - at 12:30p.m. We had really wanted something later, but we went ahead and took the 12:30p.m. since that was all she had. I couldn't believe it was sold out that fast for lunch! I really was on hold for less than a minute!! I'm so glad I got up early to call. I almost didn't because I didn't think it would be necessary. This is for a birthday celebration, though, and I didn't want to take any chances. The moral of the story is - get up and start calling even for lunch and dinner!

ooooh.. Thanks Gem for the warning! I am going to book CRT dinner for DH's birthday next week, and I wasn't planning on getting up early. Guess I better set my alarm clock.

If you want something later than 12:30, call Dec.17th when yo wake up. They will open up more tables and you should be able to get a later seating!

I called last monday for December 13th, I called around 7:15 and I got 12:30, but was never told it was even close to selling out, I really didn't think lunch would be a problem since I know sometimes you can make a PS while you are in WDW.
Im glad I called ahead and didn't just wait and think I would get in!

Thanks Gem-that just verifies what the CM told me last time I made PS at Cindy's for lunch. I called at 59 days out (dumb me! What was I thinking?) and everything was sold out. It hasn't been this difficult to make PS before. So I changed my plans and made PS at 60 days out, but called at 8:45 am (again, dumb me!) There were only a few seatings left, and fortunately I wanted an early time. Next available after 12:15 wasn't til after 2:00. CM said that people who can't get Cindy's for breakfast have gotten into the habit of going right ahead and making PS for lunch or dinner.

wow that really surprises me that there is such high demand for lunch! i am glad you got a seating. i just called on wed. at around noon for lunch dec. 15 for 6 people at 1:30 and had no problem whatsoever. i didn't realize i was taking such a risk waiting until the afternoon to call. i am glad it worked out though. have a great time!

This is what I was planning on doing if I hadn't gotten a breakfast, I was going to make a lunch PS instead. My "little princess" just wanted to eat in the castle.

I missed out on breakfast and called back around 7:30 to ask for lunch. Got an 11:30 PS which was just what we wanted. I guess I was lucky!
