This topic has been discussed a couple of other times before and it usually ends up that the majority like the layout the way it is. I for one would be dead set against it if they made some 1 bedrooms with Kings and some with 2 doubles and you were not guaranteed which you would get. When we take our two girls we want a 2 bedroom. They get their own room and bath and that's the way we like it. When it is just the two of us we get a 1 bedroom and definitely want a king size bed in the master suite. We have a king at home and want to be as comfortable on vacation as we are at home. I understand that a 2 bedroom is more points but if 5 are going to be sharing a room and a bath it is starting to sound more like a hotel room than a "Home Away From Home". If DVC did decide to start making some 1 bedrooms with 2 doubles I would definitely expect them to be able to distinguish them out when making reservations. I think that this would make a nightmare for MS. Not only that, but if half of a resort has 2 doubles in the master bedroom then it would be tougher to get 1 bedrooms with a king. I don't think that you will see DVC change room layouts too much in the newer resorts. They are making money with the layouts the way they are. Plus, the way that layouts are now requires larger families to get a 2 bedroom and use more points. Exactly what DVC wants.
