Wouldn't an INSIDE / OUT attraction in Epcot, be really cool?

With the success of IO, I was just thinking about how a new attraction in Epcot featuring the IO characters would be pretty cool.

Such an attraction would be an evolved "Cranium Command".

The audience would take a trip into the "mind" of a special someone, and just see the reactions of Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, and Anger, as the special someone deals with some kind of social issue. But, what I was also thinking, is that the attraction wouldn't be a "canned" show and that the show elements could be varied...ala Star Tours.

The social situation could be different from show to show:
- It almost showtime..and i'm not ready yet
- I need to "push the button" to open the doors Epcot
- Test Track is down for maintenance and I need to fix it.

Obviously these aren't the "best" situations and i'm sure others could think up better ones.

In addition to the varied situations...the "special someone's" mind could vary and be revealed towards the end (or maybe the beginning), which could have the audience thinking....yeah that makes sense...this is exactly how that person's emotions would deal with the situation.

Of course, my initial thoughts on the different "minds" that could be part of the attraction would be the Fab Five. (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy). And with that...i'm sure some of you can already see how the IO characters might play different depending on the mind being shown in any given show.

Anger might feature more in Donald's mind, and Joy in Mickey's...etc etc etc.

What do you think? Would an IO attraction work? What would YOUR IO attraction be like?

And, be careful about posting too many details of ideas for attractions.

The more details that someone posts, the less likely Disney will use them.

Most definitely I agree.

In fact, all the Pixar movies are ripe for a lot of attractions. TSMM is such a success.

Certainly no shortage of material to generate ideas with a company like Disney.

Hey...as long as I get some kind of "executive creator" credit...i'm fine. LOL!!! Once I get my foot in the door, I can give the head honchos my idea for a revamped "Stitch" attraction. *My wife LOVES Stitch, so if I had the power, i'd try and get a more popular and fun attraction for good ole 626.

But back on topic...
Bringing back Cranium Command would be cool as well...they do the same kind of limited engagement for Captain EO, all the time. :)

It would be lovely to see the entire Wonders of Life pavilion brought back with a new IO theme. SO much they could do with that!

OP I like your idea and Future World sounds like the perfect place for it!!

Closing the pavilion down with the excuse of a lack of corporate sponsorship might have flown back in the days of $149 park hoppers and $300 APs, but keeping it closed with today's ticket prices isn't really justifiable.

I agree...WDW is making money hand over fist, and are poised to make even more, given their connections to Lucasfilm (Star Wars) and Marvel. The proceeds can more than sponsor projects like a new wonders of life pavillion. But, I'd be happy with just the new IO attraction, and perhaps a really GOOD maintenance of all the fun activities that happen after attractions such as Spaceship Earth or Mission Space. *Basically bringing all those little activities back to PRISTINE working condition.

I personally enjoy that little shuffleboard energy game that happens after Spaceship Earth. :)

I know figment lovers would hate this, but an Inside Out makeover in Imagination would breathe some new life into that attraction.

Not only the much higher ticket prices, but the huge increase in the number of guests, all the additional revenue from the many many hotel rooms, and DVC memberships. There is no reason that this pavilion shouldn't be updated, and re-opened.

Not only would I be upset to see Figment go, I would also be upset to see them not ADDING an attraction, but simply retheming one. I would be much happier to see Imagination stay Imagination, with a good refurb, AND see Inside Out take over the Wonders Of Life.

The problem is that it makes too much sense. They would rather have empty pavilions, purple Dragons, and fake Scandanavian kingdoms populate the parks instead of something popular or relevant.

OMG - best idea ever! A whole pavilion about life, with I/O as a driving theme. Right now, it's just used for corp events/parties stuff, but Epcot has plenty of other lounges to be used. Besides, they are reworking Nor - sorry "Frozen" into a ride, and they seem to have no issue closing off huge sections of parks to rework stuff. Why not?

I was actually thinking in my initial idea for the ride, that if for some reason the space they put it was the Figment attraction, then Figment would make a cameo appearance in the new IO attraction. After all Imagination IS part of the mind. BING BONG anyone? :)

I'm definitely in the camp of "Frozen does NOT need to be featured in World showcase". While I believe that the actual attraction will likely be enjoyable, such an attraction would have fit better in MK, rather than in Norway.

There are lots of fantastic things Disney COULD do with their parks, they own so many wonderful franchises.

However the bottom line is they hate spending money. So even when they do announce something new, it's usually part of a 10 year expansion plan (obviously with cheaper/money-making things like gift shops, restaurants and cheaper rides opening first.

I love Disney but had that they're so mean - especially given the huge profits the parks must make :(

Sometimes the things that Disney does announce, boggles the mind. Who could forget the time they invited everyone to watch an important and exciting web broadcasted announcement. And all it ended up being was the Disney Park theme for that year. Something about making memories. I totally forgot what the theme was. LOL.

Love this. I think it would be great in the Imagination pavilion as well, but I'd love to see it anywhere in Epcot. Hopefully the big wigs at Disney think so too!
