Go to a park on a adult only day if they had one?

My co-worker mentioned she wished they would have an adult only day at the parks.

I wouldn't, its the kids that make it WDW to me. :cheer2:

What do you think?

No, what would be the point? :confused3

I don't mind kids at theme parks, usually it's the ADULTS that annoy me. ;)

That said, I have been to some after-hours private parties at parks that were part of corporate events, and those were VERY fun, but not because there weren't kids there.

I agree, an evening event could be fun. Only at a time when the parks close early anyway. It would sure be a bummer to bring the family to the World for a day only to find out you couldn't bring your kids into one of the parks. :p

No I wouldnt. I would feel bad for any children who were wanting to go and couldnt. People plan vacations YEARS in advance, imagine telling your child "on the fourth day of your trip you cannot go to the parks becuase it is for adults only", IMHO WDW is just one place that is meant for people of all ages.

I would have no problem with an 'after hours' night for adults, as long as it didnt affect regular park hours. That could be fun! :flower:

DH and I are a childfree couple taking our 3rd trip next year and we have never had an issue with the children in the parks. To be honest it's the kids enjoying themselves or the looks on their faces as they meet the characters that really make the park seem a little more magical. But maybe adult only night hours is something we would try out.

I would love a late night time like other posters have mentioned. For me, it is not about kids in the park (I have two young children), but I would really enjoy a time for me and my husband to go and ride the thrill rides without having to do a parent swap (times two).

I wouldn't specifically pick that day to go, but I wouldn't NOT go if I had tickets.

Well they sort of, use to have them at the MK. They were called E Ticket nights. Were there kids there? Sure! While I would see kids, there didn't seem to be a lot. I haven't been to any of the parks doing Magic Hours but I bet it might be very similar.

What I would enjoy is an adults only, special event at WS topped off by a show geared to the over 21 set. You know, maybe a good comedian followed by a band at the American stage area.

Would the whole atmosphere of WDW work without kids being present? I don't know but it would be fun to find out.

If I happened to be at WDW without my kids (not likely) I would go. I would not have them stay with a babysitter while DH and I went though.

We've been to corporate events after hours which was fun but kids were invited. It was awesome having the whole place to ourselves.

Well I wasn't thinking it would be a surprise thing LOL, I am sure it would be well planned and not last minute, no kids LOL, that'd be plain mean.

I didnt think you meant that :flower:

I just know that families often plan these trips WAY in the future, or around specific events (little johnny gets friday off school etc), and hardly anyone is as obsessive as many of us on this board with planning!! So I think there would be a lot of people that would plan trips way out, according to their own work/school schedules, without even thinking to check if their children would be allowed into the parks that day, as children have been one of the main focuses of the parks for 50 years now. For those planning long trips, it wouldnt likely be a problem, but a family planning a four-day trip with one day for each parks may run into a problem and I would be sad for the children, as it is not their choice as to what days to go, or whether their parents properly planned.

I think the idea of having some after-hours grown up fun is great, as I have seen WAY to many tiny kiddos in the parks late. Close it down like the halloween parties, charge separate admission, and allow the adults to ACT like children until the wee hours of the morning :cheer2:

I would like to ban all bratty kids and bad parents from the parks. Would that work?

No, I wouldn't. The whole point is "fun for the whole family" and if it wasn't that, I really wouldn't be interested anymore. While I'm sure most adults would behave themselves, I think there's a certain percent of the population that would change their behavior if it was not a family venue. If I wanted an adults only experience, I wouldn't pick Disney World!

I have only been to WDW three times, but I've never had a bad experience with kids there. I did have a couple of negative experiences with adults though.
