Never never never! I have a backpack that I carry and that works fine. I am not a fan of the fanny pack. I don't recall owning one since the 80's and I am happy to keep it that way To each his own but for me personally I just couldn't do it
Not only would I, I do! Actually, my new one is much more like a shoulder bag, but it is the same concept and purpose. But, I really like fanny packs because they are attached to me (LOL) and very convenient to get things in and out of.
My Disney messenger bag is black & embroidered on the front is "Mickey Mouse Club". I wish I could describe it.
I saw one in January at the POP gift shop...just like mine except that it has "The Happiest Celebration on Earth" embroidered on it.
Just today, I saw someone had posted a link (for the one I saw at POP) for the messenger bag on The LaughigPlace Store.com.... I wish I knew how to tell you to get there.

My dad and i carried a backpack with water botles, maps, and snacks,as well as suntan lotion, sun glasses, hats, visors etc. i bet ur little fanny pack cant carry all that!
I used to when I was little, but now I can't stand to have things around my waist. So I voted no. My mom always wears one to the parks though. I don't think there's anything wrong with them at all.
DH and I always wear our fanny packs that we bought at a great flea market in Kissimmee! I can't stand to have my shoulder bag on me as my poor shoulder gives out and the pain is awful! I have a huge fanny pack that it holds everything!
I have to admit I wouldn't be caught dead with one. Never been a fan of the fanny pack, even when they very first came out. However, I can certainly understand the practicality of wearing one and if I was less shallow & self-conscious I would be strappin' one of those puppies on at Disney...but as things stand now, just can't see myself doing it.
As a guy, I don't have the option of "no way, I just use a purse/shoulder pack/small backpack/whatever". Other than this, the only two options I can think of are...
1) Throw all the junk into a plastic bag
2) Get me a lady friend, and make her carry everything in her "purse/shoulder pack/small backpack/whatever"
No offense to the masses who like them (even *just for Disney*), but I will never be caught dead in a fanny pack. Like another poster said earlier, I am a fan of having DH carry as much as possible in his cargo short pockets, and he carries a water bottle on one of those lanyards across his chest. But he tends to be a little rough on some things, so I carry a small crochet backpack purse, with the camera and a few other essentials.
When we had our vow renewal in '04, I didn't want to get strap lines from the purse, so he carried that too! My DH spoils me!

OK, today I thought someone (a DISer) was a male, but found out that she was a female and I assumed that you were a female, bit you are a male. Geez, I am NOT doing well today. Hopefully in real life I would do better!
