Would you wear a fanny pack to Disney?

Would you wear a fanny pack while at Disney?

  • Wouldn't leave home without it!

  • Heck yes!

  • Wouldn't be caught dead in it!

  • Don't care either way.

Fanny Pack, lol. Those words have a different meaning in the UK.

roflmao

I've been posting here for 14 months and I still :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: when I see the words 'fanny pack'. I automatically react with a mixture of shock and a fit of giggles.

For anyone curious about this, well, here in Ireland and in the UK (and elsewhere I'm sure) a fanny  is an entirely different part of the anatomy, a part exclusive to females. The good catholic girl in me prevents me from even pondering what the word 'pack' *adds* to the meaning.... :lmao: (see I can't help it!!).

P.S. We were getting our pic taken at Chef Mickeys last year and the photographer said "put away your fanny pack dear, it's getting in the way" and I thought DH would burst a lung from laughing. :teeth:

I use one in the parks, I am a big girl ( as soon in the picture below) and nearly none of my pants have pockets and I hate to carry anything while in the parks. If I have a purse I am always worried about it so using a pack just takes a little stress off the top for me.

Also after having something stolen off our stroller (posting about that after this post) I will never take anything with me again that can not be attached to my body.

OMG, I had no idea! I'll never think of it the same way...like snarky #11! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Blondie, can your bag go over your one of your shoulders and be worn in front of your body?

Wow? Is that really FLOYDIAN? Is that really BRENDA??? And I thought I was just answering a question about fanny packs!!! :earseek:

I swear, I only wear one at the parks AND if I'm having a yard sale. I actually have a pretty nice one I bought at Target just for Orlando! It has compartments and everything. When I bought it I offered my old one to Michael, who falls in the "I'd rather DIE" category.... :lmao:

Why yes! Yes it is! And the "waist pack" (edited for the folks on the other side of the pond) I wear is a nice leather Mickey Mouse one with a snap closure wallet on the outside. Also, I never wear it anywhere but in an amusement/theme park of some kind, and it usually rides more around the front-pocket area. I'm afraid to say what it might be called in that case...

I have a 'hip bag' as I call it. It rides on my hip rather than fanny, (though I guess I have enough of both). It is more long than it is wide. I use it for camera, batteries, memory, and other small items. I never do anywhere else.

Memory? Wow! I've still got PLENTY of space in my head for that. I can't imagine needing extra storage! :lmao:

Brad, good to see you were not just passing through in the night a few nights ago. Are you a fixture here again for a time???? :cool1:

Quite likely. Heck, I may even manage some trip reports during my upcoming "Road Trip of Self Discovery" (only a working title) ;)

I didn't vote because I always take a fanny pack but I carry it on my shoulder like a purse. It is compact, has compartments for everything but is still lightweight. I can loop it around a ride bar and not worry about losing it. I use it for parks and festivals. I carry the essentials and sometimes DH will carry it. He has a small camera case that fits on his belt and sometimes he takes that. But I have never worn my fanny pack.

This post has inspired me, next time I go I am going to take as many pictures of "packs" as I can.

Oh, yes that sounds like the Bad shoe thread only it would be the BAD Fanny Pack thread! :rotfl:

I voted yes because I wear one whenever we go on vacation. It makes touring the parks so much easier since everything fits nicely in one place.

Used to but they hurt my back. Now I just wear shorts with big pockets! :rotfl: We only take in our passes and wallets and a really small camera now anyway.

I would but my wife would wack me upside the head if I did.

She is bug time anti-fannypack.

It's the only thing I know of to keep all of the stuff we need or might need. Camera, tickets, keys, money, credit card, tissues, chap stick, tylenol, (with girls seems someone always need something else).

I used to use belly bags all the time and probly would again. But lately they've left me with my sides, kidneys, and back aching badly by the end of the trip so next time I'm going to try a different kind of bag.

I always do, when dd was younger she would wear one! :thumbsup2

Ugh fanny packs are so gay looking! I would never wear one that's something that has been out of style forever.

I just throw all my crap in my boyfriends cargo short pockets. He's such a trooper to carry around my tampons for me when we are in the park!

I always wear a fanny pack to the parks. I don't want to have to worry about a pocketbook and I really don't care how I look there. :) Away from the parks....NO WAY!
I agree
