Would You Try to Get a Refund?

Reading this thread prompted me to look into a refund for some grapes we bought yesterday. I literally just rinsed them to find them soggy and inedible (they looked yummy in the bag). I purchased them at Whole Foods and used my Amazon Prime/Whole Foods QR code- so the purchase is on my Prime account. I used the chat feature to describe the issue and provide some info and in about 5 minutes was told I’d be credited the amount. Do you have the option to use a chat feature on the stores website? It could save you some time and effort if they can credit you through that.

I would normally just toss them and feel like a sucker, because as expensive as WF grapes may be I don’t have time to drive up there today. Thanks all!

BTW- I agree that checking the receipt right away is necessary. I have found errors on numerous occasions and you all have refreshed my memory on that fact.

I would have called the store as soon as you noticed it, then they'd have a record of the call. It can't hurt to try, I bet you get it back.

100% ask for a refund if you were overcharged. Show the receipt next time you are in the store. Go straight the customer service counter. Mistakes happen all the time at the register, I'm sure they will take care of it for you.

I have a $5 rule...under a $5 mistake, I don't usually bother. Over $5, I always get it fixed. Since this is $12, I would 100% ask for a refund for the overcharge.

just another thought--a few weeks ago we bought the up and up target brand plastic wrap about half way through the roll it started coming off on a diagonial--I manged to get it fixed but after a little its did it again but this time the wrap that was coming off was real thick sort of like lamanet or like it was it being roled on the cardboard roller some of the layers got melted together

anyways the next time we went to target we took it along and the CS rep was good she just refuned the money and we pick up another one since we had other shopping to do
the CS said shes a few of these returned lately I though it was interesting

just thought of this rememeber back in the day if you were charged wronge at the register they would give you extra just for the inconvience- k-mart was good with
on the other hand walgreens just had a sign up that if you were overcharged they would refund the difference--isnt that what there supposed to do

still one time at kohls I was buying a pair of shoes--there was a sale tag on it-so I get to the register and it rings up full price even with the sale tag so I stopped her and showed the clerk who called the manger whos reply was oh that sale is over and whips the tag off
so the clerk acually just over rode it and put in the sale price without me saying anything--

Where I live, many years ago when supermarkets had to mark everything (I believe in '91?), if an item rung up more than the marked price, you would get the item free and could purchase up to three at the marked price.

We had a few regular customers who came in almost daily - but mostly the day the prices changed/new sale, to purposely look for items marked wrong.

This has since stopped and items are not individually priced anymore in the big/major supermarkets.

Definitely, 100% ask for a refund.
I’ve had this happen to me more than once, but I go back the same day to get my refund (luckily, my main grocery store is close to my house). Don’t let too much time go by for you to get the refund, because they may not give it to you then.
