Forget the rapes, past and present. Isn't the bigger issue here ongoing spousal abuse?

Btw, I was date raped when I was a teen and also did not report it. There is NO way I would be raped again, as an adult, and not report it.

If you don't report it, then it could happen again, and you would be partly responsible.....

With your logic, it's my fault the same thing happened to my young cousin. Unbelievable.

Many people have been kind enough to offer their support and share their own experiences. I'm sure that wasn't easy for them. Words can't express what that means to me. joha asked me to keep everybody posted and that's what I did.

I thought I was ready to make that step, but I've been brought back to reality by a few of you here. This may only be an internet message board, but you do exist in real life..... and so does your doubt, anger and hostility. Thank you for reminding me what I'd be up against. I almost made one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

I guess this is where my rape/abuse "story" ends.

Please don't let the skepticism of a few negate the true compassion and concern of so many. Please go get yourself checked out, not just for your husband's sake but for your own.

The main thing you need to realize is that you did not deserve this and nothing that anyone can say or do will change that. You have to believe it yourself. It may be difficult for you to seek justice for yourself but you deserve justice.
