So...I'm totally dreaming here...just and FYI! But, and I emphasize BUT, if by some miracle DH's job stablilized and we could swing a trip in August, DD #4 will only be around 3 months. Is it worth it? All the trouble, extra stuff/packing? Is August too hot for an infant? OR...should we just wait, and God willing, go as planned NEXT summer when she is a little over one year? TIA!!

Yes; itty bitty babies are easier than toddlers to take around. OTOH, a 1 yo would have fun looking all around.

Either way, it would work. :thumbsup2

We took our lo when she was 5 months old and it was a great trip. She did really well and was able to ride everything her 8 yr old sister wanted to go on. We went in March so I cannot comment much about the weather. We EBF and Disney is really good about this, they have the baby stations you can go to or I didnt mind just finding a shaded bench and bf her there. We even had to bf durring a few of the smaller rides (nemo and small world I reacall) I heard, and this can just be a rumor, but heard that parents with newer babies can get a pass to help with wait times for rides and attractions. We had this pass when DD was 5 mo old since she was on many monitors and we had the stroller as a wheelchair. It is nice but glad we had no reason to use it this last trip when she was 17 mo. Anyways, she rode in her stroller good an napped there too and we never had to go back to the hotel for a break or anything, she was fine all day and night! Hope that helps, some.

Our youngest daughter was just under 3 months when we went this past February. It was a great trip and she was no trouble at all. She slept a good deal and I did sit out several rides in order to nurse her or visit the Baby Care Centers, but I didn't mind. She was still waking several times a night to eat -- but I would have had to get up at home too. We were touring at a leisurely pace, so I was fine. There was quite a bit of baby gear to pack, but I would do it again.

I can't comment on August heat. We were there in February when it was quite cold. If you do go in the heat, make frequent visits to the Baby Care Centers and keep baby hydrated. My favourite recommendation is the Rayshade stroller canopy for keeping baby completely protected from the sun -- remember that 3 months is too young for sunblock.

i say go for it, I've taken both of my little ones as young as 2 weeks old (yeah, i was house bound and had to get out!!)

i say hmmmmmm about this, are you in a warm climate to begin with and baby would be used to it? Last time i was there weather was 90's-100 and humid humid humid, baby could have trouble breathing if not aclimated..
you would need frequent breaks into a/c and baby would need extra formula or bm for hydration as a 3 month old cant have water.. I say its a tough call if it was fall, winter, spring i would say heck ya......... but in that heat ??

Jmo though

We took TWO 3 month olds last September. They don't whine and ask to be out of their stroller. ;)

Personally just for me the August heat isn't worth it. But as far as the age of your DD goes, I wouldn't worry about it. We took DD in Jan when she was 2 mos. If you'd like my baby trip report, feel free to pm me, I'd be happy to send it to you!
