This horrible fire occured earlier in the year in our town. Six people died in it. http://greenvilleonline.com/news/2004/05/24/2004052432032.htm

The senate has killed legislation that would require sprinkler systems in all existing hotels, and came up with a compromise: The hotel has to state that there is no sprinkler system in place.

Would you stay in a hotel, let's say one with the room entrances on the inside, if it had one of these signs posted?

I know that I have done it in the past, but I don't think I will in the future. I know that it is yet another law, but I think that this law would have been a good idea.. I remember reading that the resistance was coming mostly from Charleston, where the really old hotels would have a problem installing a sprinkler system. Somehow, I think the risk is too great.

good that they claim it up front if there is no sprinkler in the bld.......

Never thought about it for hotels. But it was the first thing dh and I checked when we were looking at college dorms for our dd.

Honestly have never thought about it - thanks to your post, I will be from now on!! Thanks!!

I agree! And, I have to admit when I first read the title, I thought, "Well, I don't care how the lawn looks!"
