I don't think she ever will.

Why should I comment on her sitting at the table when I've already expressed my opinion on that, several times in fact?
No, I didn't "fail to address" that I only had SEATS saved and not the TABLE. If my grandchildren had saved SEATS then their backpacks, drinks would be ON THE SEATS. They were ON THE TABLE, thus MY OPINION that the TABLE was saved, which I also have said several times.
There, did I make it clear enough for you?

But at an event where families will have to sit together at tables since there aren't rows of seating, you can't expect to save an entire table with just two bags sitting there.

Maybe next time she should take a 10-pack of Capri Suns and put one in each chair.![]()
I recommend a passive aggressive prevention pachyderm. I hear they work wonders though they don't travel as well as one would hope. Well, unless they are the transportation I suppose.

Ah, but despite the fact that so many people have disagreed with her, her OPINION is that it is OK, so therefore, she is right and we are wrong.
Sigh - what can you do?![]()
And that is where the misunderstanding comes in. Although it was your opinion that the entire table was saved, the unwritten "saving" rule is that every seat needs to be individually saved and there has to be at least one butt in a seat." Thus the lady sitting at your table was just following unwritten protocol at school, kid and other open seating functions.MIGrandma said:Why should I comment on her sitting at the table when I've already expressed my opinion on that, several times in fact?

Uh, perhaps stop sighing and wondering what you can do?? Just a thought.

I could see that causing an even bigger problem when a person sits in the chair not realizing that the Capri Sun was there as a "seat saver".
