I was recently on "Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer?" on the Magic, and got to the $80 level. The next question was: "What was the first Disney animated TV series?" Choices were definitely Tale Spin and Gargoyles, because I did a 50/50 and those were the ones I was left with. I *think* one of the others was Rescue Rangers and then something I had never heard of.
I chose Tale Spin. They said the answer was Gargoyles. I still thought I was right, so when I came home, I checked my Disney A-Z. Gargoyles started in 1994 and 1996 (two different versions) and Tale Spin in 1990. So I *was* right, given the two choices!
However, if one of the other choices was Rescue Rangers, then the 50/50 was incorrect, because Rescue Rangers started in 1989. And I can't honestly say I would have gotten it right if the choice was between Tale Spin and Rescue Rangers -- that's why I did the 50/50 in the first place.
Oh, and another note: During the first show, they discovered the computer wasn't working, and quickly fixed it and held one show for both dinner seatings. So it is entirely possible that the computer screwed up.
So.... Would you say soemthing to Disney if it were you? I'm not going to ask them for anything... (Like, a free cruise!
) But I'm pretty darn good with my Disney trivia and I think I could have made it a bit farther given the chance. And, I kinda think they should know that the computer gave a wrong response and/or took away the right answer in a 50/50.
