I was recently on "Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer?" on the Magic, and got to the $80 level. The next question was: "What was the first Disney animated TV series?" Choices were definitely Tale Spin and Gargoyles, because I did a 50/50 and those were the ones I was left with. I *think* one of the others was Rescue Rangers and then something I had never heard of.
I chose Tale Spin. They said the answer was Gargoyles. I still thought I was right, so when I came home, I checked my Disney A-Z. Gargoyles started in 1994 and 1996 (two different versions) and Tale Spin in 1990. So I *was* right, given the two choices!
However, if one of the other choices was Rescue Rangers, then the 50/50 was incorrect, because Rescue Rangers started in 1989. And I can't honestly say I would have gotten it right if the choice was between Tale Spin and Rescue Rangers -- that's why I did the 50/50 in the first place.
Oh, and another note: During the first show, they discovered the computer wasn't working, and quickly fixed it and held one show for both dinner seatings. So it is entirely possible that the computer screwed up.

So.... Would you say soemthing to Disney if it were you? I'm not going to ask them for anything... (Like, a free cruise! ;) ) But I'm pretty darn good with my Disney trivia and I think I could have made it a bit farther given the chance. And, I kinda think they should know that the computer gave a wrong response and/or took away the right answer in a 50/50.

Absolutely ... if it's too late do change your answer, at least you would be helping the next contestant. As we all know, computers can be wrong and in your case it was.

Good luck! Let us know what, if anything, you hear.

As soon as you said Tail Spin and Gargoyles....I also knew it was Tale Spin. If the choice was Rescue Rangers or Tail Spin....I am pretty sure the answer would be Rescue Rangers....Tail Spin was a spin off of RR. I think the computer was definiately wrong, or the person inputting info was wrong. I am also a Disney Trivia buff!!!

You could write to DCL guest communications and tell them what happened...who knows....maybe they will do something or at least get the computer fixed!!!! That really stinks. Who was the host of the show..was it the cruise director or someone else??

BTW....how was the rest of your cruise???....I was waiting to hear because I know from these boards that you were going with a bunch of people....did you ever find a nice guy for your sister (I remember one of your posts on your cruise thread)???LOL. The mid 20's age range is tough on Disney....not always alot around that age!!

It was the cruise director hosting. :)

I'm kind of afraid of complaining because I think they'll think I want something. (And I do, another chance on Mouseketeer to prove myself! But I'm not going to ask for that... ;) )

Oh, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise! It was a lot of fun to hang out with the parents and kids. Although, the grandparents tended to hog the babies. Mainly the grandmas. :) We didn't find a guy for Jen -- it was impossible to find one who wasn't attached to a kid or wife! (It's ok though, she's not actively looking -- the rest of us are! :) )

Good....glad you had a great time...hope you can post pics and a trip report!!!

I would write to DCL and just say something like....I feel I could have done better and it definately seemed to be a computer malfunction....I wanted to let you know so other contestants are not as disappointed as I was...sob sob sob....

Believe me....I am sure people have written to DCL for far less reasons....and you have a valid gripe!!!
