Would you recommend the 50's Primetime Cafe?

While I love the decor, the little TV clips at the table, the antics, and the servers are hilarious, I've never been a big fan of their food. It's good, but not great. There was one fried cheese ball appetizer that I really liked, but the food is very homey, and Mom seems to always leave all the flavor out of my food. It's food I could get at home and maybe I was just hoping for something a little more...

The 50's PTC has a special place in my heart......not for the food or atmosphere or anything else special. My first ADULT trip to WDW was back in 2009. It was our first trip with my daughter who was 3 and her brother was "on the way". We took the trip with my inlaws (who are great people) but I just had reached my fill on the 2nd day. After a day of DTD, and then Day 2 of MK.....I needed a getaway and a drink. They do NOT drink and it's just awkward to have a drink around them. So it was a magic hours night at Hollywood Studio's and I left everyone at the rooms as they were tired. I took the bus to HS and before riding any rides.....I hit the bar in the prime time cafe to grab a beer. I don't remember what it was, but to get a beer and a break from everyone else was nice. Now that we've been a bazillion times since then, I know tons of places to grab a drink.....but that was my first adult beverage at WDW and it was surely needed that night.

We eat there just about every time the family goes to WDW. The fried chicken is my favorite! The meatloaf and roast is good. The decor is great. My daughter was told to eat all her vegetables by the waitress which I thought was funny. Its just a fun experience!!

We've been there twice and have an ADR for our upcoming trip. The 50's décor I absolutely love, and the food's good too. I had the pot roast both times, and the PB&J shake is delicious!

We just ate lunch there on Monday and we had a great time. Mark was our server and he was really friendly, and the food was great.

I went for the first time in March with my mom and their fried chicken is the best!
