Wow, some people take this so personally. In reality I'd prefer to stay in Texas and I have been to both places. California is beautiful and the weather is perfect and we found the people to be nice. Florida also has nice people and a lot to do. In other words both states have their pluses (and corrupt politicians).

Ive been trying really hard lately to talk my husband to move closer to WDW! We are in ILL and are educators, we lost control of our retirement to our lovely state, we are sick of the state and weather and LOVE WDW. Ive been looking at houses and there are some great looking houses at a much more affordable cost than our current house is. Hoping I can get him to go south soon!

Good luck! We love living in Orlando. WDW is fantastic but there is a lot more to do, see, and experience. I live away from the tourist areas and truly adore how laid back and casual it is. I'm originally from San Diego and I don't miss living in a large city. The first 2-3 years were tough because of weather but I adapted and find the weather perfectly comfortable. I hope it works out for you!
