My Ds's friend used to do this (and I'm sure my son did it at least once). We don't live in a neighborhood, so I know it wasn't a regular thing. The friend's dad thought it was funny too.

My son was forbidded to do this because I couldn't help thinking about the elderly, sick, etc. who it might have serious consequences for. Its just not funny IMO.

A while back, some neighborhood kids stole a real estate sign and put it in our yard. I actually had to laugh about that one.
