Hi there :wave2:

Is 3 weeks to long to spend at CBR or would you switch resorts half way through the stay ?

Any suggestions would be appriciated

Many thanks

:thumbsup2

I would split my stay and try a few resorts over a three week period.

I stayed at the CBR in April and loved it. But for a stay of that length, how lucky!, I'd split it and stay at PoR as well I think. Taking boats as transportation is always fun. Maybe even going to Universal for 2 nights or so.

i would definitely split the stay, either once or even twice. you could split the stay between a value/mod/deluxe. or do 2 weeks in a value and end up in a deluxe or a home-away-from-home (villa). there are tons of ways to do it. i've split stays, and it feels like a new vacation when you move resorts... BUT i have to say it was hard for me to really relax when i knew i was going to be moving again. my dh didn't feel that way at all (probably because i'm the one who packs and unpacks everything for our family of 4).

have fun deciding... and good for you being able to go for 3 weeks!! :cool1:

We're staying at CBR, would we have to pay to move to another mod resort ?

:thumbsup2

No you dont have to pay.. the only thing you pay is the difference in the hotel. Just let the front desk know you need your luggage transfered to your new resort.(has to be disney) and you can go off and enjoy your day and then it should be there when you check in.. we did it last summer it was very easy.. Port Orleans FQ- Boardwalk Villas..

Only if you are getting a discount to stay at CBR. It may not be available at the next resort. You would have to call.

When we went in 05 we went for just 12 days and moved 3 times. We started at POP for 6 days and then AKL savannah w/bunk beds for 3 and the last 2 I rented pts. for 1 bdrm villa. It was awesome and we loved different things about all of them. The AKL was my fav though! It wasn't any hassle either. We called for luggage pickup and they transferred everything while we were out park hopping. I think you'd get really tired of the same small setting and moving around makes you feel like you are actually on a new vacation!

I would split the stay too. Either go with 2 or 3 resorts. Id go with 3 if I had no kids. Much easier to move with just adults.

I would switch to another resort as well
keep it fresh half way thru make it feel like the start if a new vacation
I hear good things about POR

First of all, to answer your question, NO 3 weeks is not too long to stay at CBR!!!

But, with all of the wonderful options, I would definitley split my stay to at least 2 if not three different resorts!

How awesome you can stay that long!!! ENJOY!

I would never consider switching resorts for a stay of 5 or 7 days but I would definitely try 2 or even 3 resorts if I was going to be there for 3 weeks!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I could easily spend 3 weeks at CBR, love this resort. However, for 3 wks I would try at least one other resort if not two. Are you getting annual passes for your trip? or are you doing the free dining promo. This might make a difference cost wise. From your signature it looks like you'll be on your disneymoon, congrats on your upcoming wedding!:bride:

We're not sure what we're entitled to, as we've not booked our trip through Disney.
:confused3 Can anybody help :confused3

I usually stay for 10 days and that is just right for us. I think three weeks in any resort might be too much. If I were you, I would split between CBR and CSR.

Ziggybaby,

As you are from the Uk have you booked through a UK tour operator/travel agent? I would assume so.

If you want to just change resorts then contact the people you booked through and they will quote you. You may just have to pay a admin few or if may cost extra depending on the resort.

Free dining - you can get it from Disney in the US however you are going for 21 nights and the maximum package length they do is 14 nights. Therefore you would need to book a minimum of 2 packages which would mean 2 lots of park tickets as well. Also you can only get the Magic your Way tickets you would not be eligble to buy the 21 Day Ultimate that you can get over here.

If you went for the free dining your existing holiday would need to be changed for which there will be a charge I would guess. You need to look into it and do some sums.

HTH
