So where did I leave off a month ago when I last updated?! So sorry, everyone! Real life really has gotten in the way of reliving our delightful Disney adventure (where the real world doesn't exist). Between working eleventybillion hours a week trying to save for the wedding and school starting up again...not to mention a few weddings tossed in...I haven't had time for much of anything besides some sarcastic Facebook updates. Social life? What social life?! :sad1:

So I think we were making our way around the Boardwalk the last time I updated. After a delightful snack of sandwich and cupcake at the Boardwalk Bakery we continued along. I have to it was disgustingly hot this afternoon. Because we had gotten a late start Monday morning we were walking around the Boardwalk in the middle of the afternoon, in the hottest heat of the day. I was pretty uncomfortable. Between the heat and the super long day we'd had before, I was not dealing with anything that well. :/

But, I was determined to push on because it was our first full day and I'd never been to the Boardwalk, so I wanted to check it all out. We did make sure to stop in every store possible. Thank you, overly blasted AC! At one of the gift shops we thumbed through the Disney Dining Cookbook. We saw the recipes for the Sonoma Goat Cheese ravioli from California Grill, which we had loved, and the Chedder Cheese Soup from Le Cellier, which I knew I was going to love when I tried it on Tuesday. We decided we had to have the cookbook. We didn't want to carry it around, so we decided to buy it back at WL.

When we got to the walkway to the Swan & Dolphin, we decided to head into the Dolphin to check out Todd English's Bluezoo. While we are pretty much set on California Grill for our post-wedding dinner, I wanted to check out the private room at Bluezoo in case we needed to pick a back-up option.

I'm sorry I don't have pictures of any of this...I was just so hot, I couldn't be bother to get out my camera.

After leaving the Dolphin we continued our way around the lagoon to the Yacht and Beach Clubs. I ran along this route during the marathon... no real recollection other than strong thoughts of suicide. Just kidding...sort of. We made our way through the lobbies of the hotels and past the various restaurants. We both really liked it, especially the Yacht Club...Jeff is into all things nautical, so he was especially pleased. We finally came out by the beach and I decided to take some pictures of SBP from across the water, because I knew my family would want to see what it looks like.

After taking some pictures we kept walking back to Epcot.

Once in Epcot we stopped at France to get some lunch at the Patisserie. I LOVE the ham and cheese croissants, so we always make it a point to each lunch here at least once. Since it counted as a CS meal, we each got a ham and cheese croissant, a pastry (me-eclair, jeff-napolean) and a soft drink. It was incredibly windy and we had to work really hard to not lose our meals to the wind while we sat on a park bench by the fountain in France. This was such a hassle, I didn't get a chance to snap a picture of the meal. But it was delicious!!!

After eating we stopped to watch the street performers outside of France.

It was around this time that I was about ready to melt(down). I was hot, sweaty gross and tired. We were supposed to eat at the Yachtsman at 6:05 and I just wasn't feeling up to it. It was already after 3 and I really wanted to shower before dinner, but didn't think we'd have time. Plus, I knew if we stayed at Epcot until dinner, I'd drop immediately following dinner. We planned to go back to MK after dinner and I was excited for that. Plus...I just wasn't in the mood to spend $150 OOP on dinner. So, we decided just to head back to the room, shower, nap/relax and get a CS meal at MK sometime that evening. I was pretty relieved Jeff was onboard because i'm not sure how I would have lasted, if he insisted on dinner at Yachtsman.

Up Next..... Another evening at MK.... to be posted sometime before the end of the month. ;)

Ahh, beautiful pictures of the Boardwalk. :cloud9: The bakery in France is so yummy! I love the croissants and the chocolate mousse.

Yay for the update! :yay: I love the bakery in France too! It was so convenient to walk there from BC. I got spoiled by all those pastries! So gooooood. Thanks for posting all of those pictures. I am totally reliving my vacation through your TR, and missing Disney. I had almost...almost forgotten how disgustingly hot it was in August, until I was reading your update. Next time, we are definitely not going during the hot and humid summer. Good luck with everything in your outside life and can't wait for the next update.
