Ditto. My eldest daughter just is not into the princesses, but oh my Jack Sparrow that would be awesome. Of course I might have to get an autograph book, shirt, photo for that adventure!!!

I guess you all know how I voted, also:lmao:

im surprised disney havent thought of it yet as it would VERY popular!!

Disney has thought of it. About a year or year and a half ago, I got an electronic survey from Disney, and one of the things they asked was about a pirate character meal.

Disney has thought of it. About a year or year and a half ago, I got an electronic survey from Disney, and one of the things they asked was about a pirate character meal.

Was it the survey that asked your interest in:

"Board a pirate vessel from a resort and sail to Pirate’s Cove, where
Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of bandits have cooked up a beach
barbecue. Salty songs, tall tales, delicious food, and a hunt for the
fabulous Tortuga Treasure spice up this fun-filled evening under the
stars. Guests are given a clue-filled treasure map, and friendly
competition is held to find the priceless prize."

Or was it a survey about the Tortuga Restaurant idea? That one is on the back burner for now, but the idea isn't dead yet...it got a long way on the drawing board, they even reportedly did a mock up test kitchen at PO (don't remember if it was R or FQ). And that would be really cool to have another good sit down in MK, maybe with a Blue Bayou-style menu, heavy on the Caribbean influence and flavors.

I'd love both options -- an outdoor BBQ/show meal (the thought was that it would be in the old Discovery Island area) would be a great evening. Would draw back some of the crowd that heads to the Pirate's dinner theater show and it would be a new, fresh alternative to HDDR, the Luau, or Mickey's BBQ. I could see them incorporating the Peter Pan characters, too, and maybe having Jack and Hook try to "out-pirate" one another

I voted yes - but it would really depend on the menu. Pirates would be fun but I wouldn't go if I wasn't interested in the menu (like in Norway where we'll only go for breakfast)

Only if it's not in the MK where they can't serve rum cocktails.

In a heartbeat, by myself if I had to. Which I doubt since DH and the kids would love it as well.

My girls and I would so-o-o-o totally do this!

And, if I remember correctly, there is a "Spanish-themed" restaurant that adjoins the POC in Disneyland Paris. No characters though.

It is called Blue Lagoon. And it's good! But in Disneyland Paris you can buy a rum cocktail.

Absolutely, they should create the meal at Shutters at CBR (the food there stinks now!). So, they recreate the restaurant to a pirate themed restaurant have wenches instead of waitresses. They could serve beer and gruby food ro bring ti back to reality and serve seafood.

I think they need a Boys themed meal so this would be GREAT!!!
I would love to see what they could do with this theme....not just a meal, but the entire restaurant.

I would be :cloud9: if such a thing were ever offered.

And if you'll pardon the shameless plug, my full on obsession with Captain Jack Sparrow is described completely in my pre-trip report! ;)

But seriously, that would be so cool. We can always hope such a thing would happen. :goodvibes
