Would you give up nights at the Poly concierge to stay longer?

We are adding 2 nights onto our WDW stay. We originally had 6 nights booked at Poly concierge. But I recently switched it to 4 nights at Poly concierge and 4 nights POFQ. We needed to stay cheaper for part of the trip to save on expenses to be able to stay longer. Did I make the right choice? I feel anymore time in the "world" is a better choice, but not to sound snobby we never stayed in a moderate. Can't wait!!!! 8 whole nights, I'm in heaven.:Pinkbounc

Could you do 8 nights at the poly with no concierge - garden view maybe? I'm not convinced the concierge is so worth it...nice, but I've seen better for the money.

No we can't. We're leaving in a couple weeks and with such short notice there are very few rooms available with an airline discount. But thanks for the advice.

Then don't sweat it - you can't go wrong with those resorts and you'll have a great time!

When we booked our trip we decided to stay at a moderate in order to stay longer. Later, the AP rates came out and we managed to change our reservations to the WL without it costing too much more, but we were willing to stay at a moderate in order to get extra days too! We've never stayed at a moderate either and I was a little concerned we'd be disappointed, but like you I decided more days anywhere onsite made it worth it. Besides, it'll give you a good chance to compare and see if the deluxes really are worth the extra $$.

As much as I love the Poly, if it meant 2 extra nights, and I was still getting my Poly fix, then yes, I would have made the change too. Although, I would have gone to a value resort because I prefer those to the moderates. ;)

Personally I think additional time in DW is better than someone doing little things for me that I am capable of doing myslef. The concierge is a nice treat but if I had to stay less time I would gladly make my own arragement for dinner and breakfast. Have a great trip.

I agree with the other posters.

I don't think concierge is worth the money; unless you are planning to spead lots of time at your resort than in the parks.

Its too bad you cannot switch your Poly room to non-concierge.

As far as the moderates, I recommend doing the first 4 nights at the moderate resort -- then you have the Poly to look foward too. One year we did a split and did the deluxe first and moderate second and was disappointed leaving the deluxe.

Moderates are nice don't get me wrong. But you do give up a private balcony/patio, queen beds for doubles, external hallways vs. interior, rooms are smaller.

We have done moderate level when we are just doing 4 days WDW trips; when we are spending more time at the parks than the resort.

YUP!

More Time = more fun!

More Time = More Relaxed!

More Time = Less Stressed trying to see "everything"

More Time is just so much better!
