Would you give out cell # for craigslist purchase?

Having a number for a seller or buyer can help in instances where you are running late or can't locate one another at the specified meeting place.

exactly - I give out our cell phone number to anyone who is buying from us with the request that they call or text if they are running late, can't make it or can't find us. Never had any problem.

I ended up giving out a google voice number. I can understand why they wanted it. I'm just hesitant to give out a number.

good move. while you have something for sale link the gvoice number to your cell and when you don't unlink it. When unlinked if anybody calls gvoice will take a voice mail.

Seems a bit creepy to me, too. I'm sure these folks are just being cautious, but it makes me wary of buying/selling on Craigslist at all.
