Would you get a FP+ for ROL during Thanksgiving week?

We will be in WDW the week of Thanksgiving. I have planned to be in AK in the afternoon/evening on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and have an early morning arrival at AK on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (morning EMH).

Wednesday will be from approximately 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday will be RD EMH until around 2:00 p.m.

I am hoping to get FOP FP+ for both days, since it will be at 60+4 and 60+7. Our goal on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is to ride FOP, see Pandora at night and see ROL. (We have not been to AK since Pandora and ROL opened.)

Would you get a FP+ for ROL that night? We want to see the early show at 6:15. (I'm not even sure if there is a second show that night.)

I was thinking of getting FP+ that afternoon/evening for Everest, ROL and FOP. Since we are arriving late, I don't think having a ROL FP+ will hinder us getting a fourth FP+. I don't think we will be able to do more than 3 FP+ while we are there. And we have another entire day at AK. Also, being the day before Thanksgiving...I am expecting it to be CROWDED. And we don't want to miss out on ROL.

We were planning dinner at Yak & Yeti at 4:30, followed by ROL. Then over to Pandora to see the land at night and use a FOP FP+ around 7:00 p.m. (if I can get that time at 60+4).

Thanks for any advice!

FWiW, we were at DAK the day before Thanksgiving last year and we were pleasantly surprised with how the day went. Even though it seemed more crowded than usual, we were able to get a lot done.

With that being said, with the plans you have, it sounds like a RoL FP+ would fit great into your plans. If RoL is something you really want to do, I say book the FP+, especially since you'll be returning to DAK for EMH that Saturday.

We didn't need one when were there earlier this month. As a matter of fact, we walked right up before it started. So I really don't think it would be necessary, if you would rather use a FP for something else. However with it being a busy time, I would definitely get there earlier to make sure you got a seat. But if you don't have any other priorities or if you think you'll worry too much about it, then by all means get a FP. Then you can have peace of mind knowing you have a spot.

Yes, but they’ll be available late in the day - so don’t use one of your first 3 on it.

We got one last year for the day after Thanksgiving. Probably would not do it again. There seemed to be a lot of seating availability left for standby, with little or no wait.

We have been using FPs for 2 days at AK. I honestly think next time, we will try to get by with only 1 FP day, and use the 2nd day elsewhere after hopping.. We're not big on repeats, other than doing a coaster over and over at the end of the night. So, with careful planning of your AK day(s), you can have a FP lineup of FOP, Everest, and Safari, and get everything else done with short waits.
